Wow, incredible game, went down to OT...

Over in Zeta looks like the Foxes barely survived a scare as well..

Looking at our past seasons, we're NOT a shoddy ball club at Norfolk. S4 we were a brand new team in a level-capped league and went 13-3, then 15-1 in S5 (including a conference championship) and the whole time we were in the bottom half of the league in the average level of our starters. We had a chunk of starters leave last season to go to a team that the guy owned (including a starting HB, DE, and WR) and we're left with a team that has exactly one level 40 guy.

We've made a lot of late season additions that have really helped us out. Still, it was a hugely lucky ball game for us. I believe strongly that GLB has some sort of momentum factor, and 1 long bomb TD pass followed by a pick-six 3 minutes later completely swung the game in our favor. Our usually solid defense gave up 235 on the ground, so it's a complete miracle that we managed to survive this game.

We have 3 games that we lost by a field goal or less. Now I'm just here banging my head against my keyboard because any one of those games would have been the difference between a possible 8th seed and packing our gear after Sunday's game.

Thanks, as a real-life defensive coordinator I am hoping and praying that Bort's new defensive play creator will help us make up the level-gap on the field. We'll see!

We're up against you guys for our last game of the season. Norfolk could be a definite spoiler. Luckily, you guys have to fly to Guam for the game so we won't be jetlagged from flying East.

I was stationed in Norfolk for what seems forever (91-95) on the USS Bergall (SSN-667). Fun times.

Tell me. Foxes are like a jinx to me. They have a solid season and we come inches from beating them while they clobber all their competition. Has happened thrice now.

Norfolk, VA or Norfolk Island in the South Pacific? I just ask because I was under the impression that Norfolk Island isn't big enough to warrant any sort of naval presence... I didn't even think they had a port. lol

i dont get it either. season 4 when we went undefeated i even gameplaned you guys alot and it was close.

we just always play close games

I too have coached Football for about 27 years or so.
My son is in Norfolk VA on the USS Batton.

Norfolk, VA. I didn't know Norfolk was an Island.

USS Batton's a good boat. I think when I was in the Bergall and Batton were in the same Squadron. Is it still in COMSUBRON 6? With all the decommissionings and whatnot I'm not sure what squadrons are left.

My computer died on me in the middle of the week, so i did not have any chance to scout on you guys.
Wont happen again. Got a new rig put together now and are ready for the playoffs
