1-1 last week brings me to 4-10. As a funny man with clown makeup once said, "and heeere... weee... go..."

Zeta projections

Monty Pythons 15 1
Sevastopol Wolverines 14 2
The Cape Town Cubicles 14 2
The D-League Home For Underprivileged Children 13 3
Constantinople Romans 12 4
Rome Raiders 11 5
C-Town Hoodlums 10 6
The Wheatfield 9 7
Draguignan Dragons 83 7 9
Transylvania Terror 7 9
Terlingua Javelinas 6 10
Grodno Titans 4 12
Subotica Scorpions 4 12
Columbus Crush 2 14
Chernobyl Radionuclides 1 15
Elancourt Templiers 0 16

The Romans jump the gun and pickup their 3rd loss early. Their upset to Wheatfield potentially knocks them out of a playoff home game, but with a finale against D-L (-11), they risk backing into the playoffs on a 2 game losing streak. I think the Romans can turn it around and beat the spread.

Well, the Wolverines are 12 point favorites against you next week. I'll be rooting for you guys to help my Cubicles move up, so I'll put my money on them to cover

Zeta RPI

Monty Pythons .621
Sevastopol Wolverines .592
Constantinople Romans .577
The Cape Town Cubicles .570
The D-League Home For Underprivileged Children .563
C-Town Hoodlums .541
Rome Raiders .538
The Wheatfield .505
Terlingua Javelinas .494
Transylvania Terror .492
Draguignan Dragons 83 .485
Subotica Scorpions .438
Grodno Titans .430
Columbus Crush .415
Chernobyl Radionuclides .413
Elancourt Templiers .392

The Raiders came within 12 yards of pulling off an upset, which seems to follow the trend of how close all the A8 reunion games have been. They have 1 last chance to make a splash against the Cubicles (-17), although the loss to the Wolverines have basically eliminated any consequences in the last game -- they've locked into the playoffs, but were statistically eliminated from a home playoff game (they would compete with D-L and the Romans for the 4th seed, but since D-L and the Romans play each other, one is guaranteed to stay ahead of the Raiders). C-T seems a bit miffed at being the now-updated 22 point underdog against the Pythons, and while I support their objections, my money still won't touch a C-T game.

Alpha projections

NISSA Dauphins 15 1

Alpha RPI

Chernobyl Meltdowns .618
NISSA Dauphins .611
Kharkiv Thrashers .588
Black Sea Pirates .565
Woburn Tanners .542
Lisbon Crows .540
Tallaght Outlaws .512
Transylvania Impalers .508
Saratov Catrades .484
BERLIN RAIDERS .478

NISSA drops a bit with a blowout over Molechs, but with Chernobyl playing a CPU team, it should flip back around after week 16. The big game this week is Catrades (-8) v. Pirates. This game will determine if the last playoff spot goes to the Catrades or Outlaws (who won the head-to-head). I'll put my money on the Pirates. The NISSA (-11) v. Lisbon game will determine the top seed, and if Lisbon gets a home game. I think Lisbon's recent slide convinces me to put my $$ on NISSA.

EDIT: Since I'm 6 games under and I've got 4 bets this week, I think I'll put 2 units on C-T to beat those 22 points Maybe I can finish 10-10 for the year. Plus if they pull off the miracle win, AND the Wolverines lose, AND the Cubicles win, we would actually reclaim the 1 seed LOL

Well, I'm clearly hoping for a Crows loss in week 16 vs NISSA. As long as the Tanners win their game against BERLIN - that should slide the Tanners up to 4th Place and drop the Crows to 5th, sliding the Pirates into 6th place to face the Thrashers. Looking at our head to head - I get the feeling that the Thrashers are a better opponent for us in the first round than the Crows. (that said, I feel better about a rematch against the Crows than I did the first time around... having more games to scout of theirs - I've got a better idea of how we could pull off a win)

I can't wait for the zeta playoffs as all 8 teams are good teams. Will be fun at least. (though I don't really like my teams odds at the moment)

I believe regardless whether we (Raiders) win or lose, we are locked in the 6 spot. The Romans and D-L have already beat us head to head and whoever loses between the 2 will become 12-4 and that puts us in a tie if we beat the cubes. AND... since we already beat C-Town a loss to the cubes puts us in a tie if they win their last game but we have the edge since we beat them head to head.

Guess if we beat the spread against NISSA like we did against Chernobyl, we´ll join Wheat and C Town as no play games for you. Either way it seems we´re locked for a rematch against Woburn.

I'm not surprised in the slightest by the game results (see my above comments and previous comments about Lisbon). I wonder how the bookies have the Crows vs Pirates rematch pegged.

Come on, that was an upset win. I knew we could keep it close and had a chance to win it but NISSA hadn´t lost a conference game this season.
If that isn´t an upset i don´t know what it is!

I wonder that too. Looking forward to that game as i know we´ll get a different Pirates team than the one we faced our first game.
Should be a good one.

Tough one for you guys but you still hung in there and made a race out of it.

(I considered throwing the game - because I didn't want to face Crows in round 1 of the Playoffs... but the deciding factor was because the Projections had you beating us and I wanted to prove the Projections wrong)
