Zeta - Week 14
As we all make the final drives towards the post season, most of the
playoff contenders are set & playing for position. With 1 team on the
outside, but a shot at making the post season, let's take a look at
remaining 3 games.

Y-Conference championship
X-Playoff team

X 1 London Rippers 13-0-0 at X 4 Prague Defenestrators 11-2-0
Playoff outlook: The London Rippers has been the team to beat
all season. Currently sitting in the #1 seed, they have what could be
their biggest game of the season this week against Prague. The next 2
games London has are Borum, who is currently in 8th Position, & The
Fresh Pimps who sit at 9ths & is hoping for some help as 3 teams sitting
at 6th through 8th all have 2 wins over them (8-5-0). I don't see the
Rippers letting up at this point to help either team though.

Playoff outlook: Prague Defenstrators currently is holding onto
the coveted last home game for the playoffs. The advantage Prague has
at this point is the last 2 games they have is Rotherham Cannons & Borum
Hill Treble, neither of which really have the team to contend with the
upper tier teams at this time.

The Game: Prague is looking to do what no one else has in grounding the potent
Ripper air game while keeping the Smash & Grab tandem of Ty Ingram
& Bo "Diddley" Jackson in check. I expect a heavy duty throwdown here
as Prague's own offensive weapons of Colton Blight has been an efficient
QB throwing only 2 INTs & their own backfield tandem of Divine Power &
Dancin withthedevil are putting up similar numbers to the Rippers.
Score: London Rippers 32-21 Prague Defenstrators

X 2 Italian Stallions 12-1-0 at 12 Reykjavík Polar Bears 4-9-0
Playoff outlook: The Italian Stallions is pushing towards their
post season position of #2 with little chance of losing their position
to anyone below or above them. Their remaining games against #12, #11,
& #15 seeds will leave them sitting pretty. Unless the Rippers stumble
in a big way, #2 is tied up.

Playoff outlook: The Polar Bears will be looking to hibernate this
off season & hope they put on a bit of weight for the next hunting season.
Already eliminated from playoff contention, they have tough games against
the #2 & #3 seeds before being able to finish off the season against
the Quicksand.

The Game: Italy will keep moving on they way they have in a talent
mismatch.
Score: Italian 90-12 Reykjavík

X 3 The Evil Empire 11-2-0 at 14 ROUEN Bisounours de l'Enfer 1-12-0
Playoff outlook: The Evil Empire has all but sewn up #3. They are
looking at 3 walkoff Wins unless someone from the Rebel Alliance shows up to
blow up their Death Star of talent.

Playoff outlook: The Carebears from Hell (thanks merenoise) head back to
where they came from as they have been already eliminated from the post
season. With 1 game against Missouri being a tight game & then closing out
at home against Manchester Divided, they could pull a couple wins out &
play spoiler to help out The Fresh Pimps.

The Game: Mismatch gives The Evil Empire another W.
Score: Empire 101-6 ROUEN

X 5 Lisbon Crusaders 9-4-0 vs 6 Manchester Divided 8-5-0
Playoff outlook: Lisbon has tied up a playoff position, but will they
be #4, #8, or somewhere in between? With 2 of their final 3 games having
serious playoff position implications, they are going to have some interesting
gameplanning ahead.

Playoff outlook: Manchester has gotten the big 4 out of the way &
lost 1 to the 8-5 London Pulse. After Manchester's trip to Lisbon, they will
be looking at some easier work against October Wildfire & then ROUEN. If they
can take care of business, they might wrest 5th place away & avoid meeting
The Evil Empire in the 1st round.

The Game: This is my game of the week #2 pick. Both teams have some good
weaponry to post up points, so this may come down to who can get either a big
pick, fumble, or special teams play.
Score: Lisbon 27-30 Manchester

7 London Pulse 8-5-0 at 8 Borum Hill Treble 8-5-0
Playoff outlook: I find it hard to get a Pulse on the other London team.
They seem to have the talent to break any game open but are now looking at the
posibility of falling below the playoff bubble. With all 3 remaining games
having playoff position implications as they play the #8 Borum Hill, #9 Fresh
Pimps & #5 Lisbon Crusaders, the coaching staff is probably putting in some
extra hours.

Playoff outlook: Borum Hill is also sitting on the bubble & things do
not look good for them. After playing host to the Pulse, they have to travel to
London to face the #1 London Rippers then come home to finish against the #4
Prague Defenstrators. 1 win & they lock out a position, this week they need to
come up big.

The Game: #1 Faceoff of the WeekThis can go either way. While I have to
admit that on paper the Pulse have an edge, I have seen 1 too many games tossed
on a Pick-6 to feel like they are walking away without a lot of nail biting.
Score: London 33-32 Borum Hill

9 The FResH PiMps of Bel Air 6-7-0 vs 13 Phi Kappa Leesburg 3-10-0
Playoff outlook: #9 seems to be the loneliest number. While they face the
#13 Phi Kappa this week, they have to travel to London & take a Pulse & then
host the Rippers at the end of the season. While 3 wins seems to be a hugh
stretch, they still could get lucky that one of the 8-5 teams drop 3 as they are
facing some tough competition to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Playoff outlook: Phi Kappa Leesburg are out this season. They sheer level
field of 19-20 level players, they have depth could spell a bright future. Give
them a season or 3 & they could be a top flight team.

The Game: Pimps have the talent, the cars, and the cash in this one.
Score:Pimps 35-14 Phi Kappa

10 October Wildfire 4-9-0 vs 16 Missouri Quicksand 0-13-0
Playoff outlook: Another eliminated team, I really expected the Wildfire
to do a bit better this season. If they address some missing pieces this offseason,
they could easily put themselves over the hump & into a Conference contender.

Playoff outlook: I suspect Missouri is a slow build team looking towards
the future. So they will take their lumps into next season & give themselves the
time they need to make a difference down the road.

The Game: Wildfire will be looking to burn the field down around the Quicksand.
After that, they score a few extra points for good measure.
Score: October 55-7 Missouri

11 Matterhorn Marmots 4-9-0 at 15 Rotherham Cannons 1-12-0
Playoff outlook: Mathematically eliminated, they look to have a good game
against Rotherham before having to face the rath of the Italian Stallions & Evil
Empire. With a well built stadium & tons of cash, this team is building to a good
future.

Playoff outlook: With a smattering of CPU players, the Cannons have not
had the explosive power needed to break big. We will have to wait & see what the
future holds as they are sitting on the smallest stadium in the conference &
does not have much in cash reserves.

The Game: The Marmots pull the win through slightly better talent & plan,
but this is a tight game until the 3rd quarter.
Score:Matterhorn 35-17 Rotherham

X 1 London Rippers 13-0-0 at X 4 Prague Defenestrators 11-2-0
The Projection:
Prague is looking to do what no one else has in grounding the potent
Ripper air game while keeping the Smash & Grab tandem of Ty Ingram
& Bo "Diddley" Jackson in check. I expect a heavy duty throwdown here
as Prague's own offensive weapons of Colton Blight has been an efficient

Score: London Rippers 32-21 Prague Defenstrators
The Recap: Defense keeps each side to only 1 TD each, FG kickers gets laid after the upset. 16-19 Prague
In a post game interview with kicker Bryan Egan Bunnell, he states, 'I kick ze ball, ze ball goes through ze poles, &
ze women call me dada. Be jealous, Reepars.'
In post game conference with Rippers coaches, multiple grumblings of 'beating these lazy players to a pulp' are
overheard.

X 2 Italian Stallions 12-1-0 at 12 Reykjavík Polar Bears 4-9-0
The Projection:
Italy will keep moving on they way they have in a talent
mismatch.
Score: Italian 90-12 Reykjavík
The Recap: Stallions did not need Rocky for this one. 85-0

X 3 The Evil Empire 11-2-0 at 14 ROUEN Bisounours de l'Enfer 1-12-0
The Projection:
Mismatch gives The Evil Empire another W.
Score: Empire 101-6 ROUEN
The Recap: The Evil Empire took out ROUEN like they are Porkins. 93-0

X 5 Lisbon Crusaders 9-4-0 vs 6 Manchester Divided 8-5-0
The Projection:
This is my game of the week #2 pick. Both teams have some good
weaponry to post up points, so this may come down to who can get either a big
pick, fumble, or special teams play.
Score: Lisbon 27-30 Manchester
The Recap: Manchester may be Divided, but they pulled together & go over the Crusade. 20-7

7 London Pulse 8-5-0 at 8 Borum Hill Treble 8-5-0
The Projection:
#1 Faceoff of the WeekThis can go either way. While I have to
admit that on paper the Pulse have an edge, I have seen 1 too many games tossed
on a Pick-6 to feel like they are walking away without a lot of nail biting.
Score: London 33-32 Borum Hill
The Recap: Pulse ran up over Hill & Dale (both are feeling pretty sore). 47-10

9 The FResH PiMps of Bel Air 6-7-0 vs 13 Phi Kappa Leesburg 3-10-0
The Projection:
Pimps have the talent, the cars, and the cash in this one.
Score: Pimps 35-14 Phi Kappa
The Recap: Pimps pulled out the win, closer than I expected. Fans run the concession stands
out of cheese puffs, Doritos, & beer. 48-34

10 October Wildfire 4-9-0 vs 16 Missouri Quicksand 0-13-0
The Projection:
Wildfire will be looking to burn the field down around the Quicksand.
After that, they score a few extra points for good measure.
Score: October 55-7 Missouri
The Recap: October ends up a bad month for Missouri, 197-0

11 Matterhorn Marmots 4-9-0 at 15 Rotherham Cannons 1-12-0
The Projection:
The Marmots pull the win through slightly better talent & plan,
but this is a tight game until the 3rd quarter.
Score: Matterhorn 35-17 Rotherham
The Recap: Marmots come out with a 28-10 victory.

GG Manchester

I guess we didn't have answers for your HBs this game. Your GMs pretty well shut us down.

Like I said we are hoping to back our way into the #8 seed this season.

Funniest recap ever for sure. I was laughing for a couple of minutes and even my wife who secretly hates GLB laughed.
