the rankings confuse me sometime . A team with a losing record ahead of a team with a winning record.not to mention they beat the team already

the rankings are formula based which basically means it's all calculated by numbers.
total rushing/passing yards, tackles, sacks, etc etc.

it doesn't take into account GM planning and tactics. take it with a grain of salt imo.

but nonetheless, thanks for doing this for us all adamantenigma!

Exactly... they can only spit back from what they are provided. Player levels, team ratings, and "effective" gameplanning are subjective items and cannot be weighted evenly, so they don't play a part in my power rankings.

As for the Boca Raton Hurricane/Detroit Muscle comparison that I think you're eluding to, the thing that puts them over you (as far as the formula goes) is that their defense is statistically better than yours, and they have had a tougher schedule up to this point... otherwise the two teams are virtually even; winning percentage aside.

You have a definite case to complain since you've got two more wins than they currently do... but keep this in mind... they've got three guaranteed wins left on their schedule, whereas your three remaining games should each be closely contested. You will probably leap-frog them in the strength of schedule and if you win one or two of those games you'll most likely find yourself above them in the end.
