with 4 wins we are 2 games out of a playoff spot. that just shows you how close the west is. I dont see us making it, but its nice to have some hope having lost so many games. makes those losses to fmmp and f.hockey hurt pretty damn bad. hell we lost to North Bay and Vancouver By 8 points Combined, those 2 games go the other way and we are in 8th looking at the playoffs. As it stands though looks like we get 1 more season in a-5.

Amen to that sir.

Would have been really great to keep Laval and Urkels around.

yeah I dont think it will be nearly as competitive next season, espeacially with the changes to vet points. It will be harder for teams to recruit players who are at the top of the recomended level for the leagues.

Not just that, but good builds cannot make up as much ground on higher levels.

I understand the notion, and higher levels should be better, but building smartly was a good equalizer for a long time.

The tough competition makes us mentally tougher, better builders, better strategists.

WEST is where champions are born.

I think it still is in a lot of ways, at least defensively.

My lvl 37 LB isn't bad, but my lvl 33 is better. Experience, use it.

Sure, but that's not a huge gap.

Edit: this is directed at chriztian's post.

All I'm saying is that VA tossed higher leveled guys a huge bone.

All other things being equal, building well doesn't make up as much anymore. That's indisuputable fact. That's all I was saying.

Too true about the VA's. But the higher level guys deserved a bone after all the changes in what works for builds. The guys who got the hugest boost are WRs. CBs got tricked into using theirs on Long Reach and Showboat while the WRs have maxed Track Star.

The Vikings and North Bay and Manitoba Maulers are higher levels than us, but we all started at the same time.

I know for a fact that Chriztian was organized and went after experienced agents right away,
as soon as he got his team. At least a few of those agents he didn't know at all.

C6YP and Moose Jaw went the path of building our own players
and sticking mostly to agents we knew (100% in the case of C6YP, 75% in the case of Moose Jaw).
That makes keeping the team together a lot easier than Chriztian's way.
It makes avoiding really stupid builds a lot eaiser too.
But unless you plan a season ahead, the cost is having lower level guys.

Dems de breaks - for them and for us.

We are very selective of our agents. Extremely actually.

Every off season thus far we have been charged with filling less than 5 positions total. This past season we filled those positions from within with one exception.

Oh and we did not reload with our promotion either. We were clear to our guys we would not and we did not.

I think our group of agents will be around for us all the way to Pro.

I actually knew none of my agents the first season outside of Hskr and BK (who started out having 3 players, but now have 5), my GMs. I spent hours and hours searching the D-leagues and Players Looking for Team forum recruiting level 13 guys. After the first season I let a bunch of my backups go because their builds sucked and they weren't listening/being active in the forums. Replaced a lot of those with guys from within and with Hskr and BK's other agents.

To avoid bad builds we do mid and end of season build reviews so that people who want advice can get it. I also only bring in people who boost and have CE, because as great as someone who doesn't might be, in two seasons they'll get dominated by other players.

My two higher level guys came from Hskr's team (Devin was a WR there who ended up too deep on the DC) and through an agent on BK's team.

No doubt Chriztian. We have all active/boosting agents now. Makes growth natural.
