It’s week seven in Eastern Europe AAA #2, and many eyes are on the two teams currently sitting atop each of their respective divisions. The Barger Hill Burglars and the Lafayette Ragin Cajuns are both undefeated going into today’s games.

Both teams may not have much to worry about in today’s match ups, as the Burglars take on the twelve ranked Redskins from Bratislava and the Cajuns square off against the fourteenth ranked Pitbulls out of Athens. There is always the chance of an upset, but each team has skills on the offensive and defensive sides of the field that should help them jump these hurdles and stay the two top teams in the league.

The major offensive strength for the Burglars comes in the passing game and quarterback Joe Lassiter. A top ten quarterback in the league, Lassiter has helped the Burglars lead the league in passing yards. Lassiter and the passing game have help in the form of running back Tuff Jukes, whose nine touchdowns are third highest in the league.

The offensive strength for the Cajuns lies in the rushing attack, with running back Julian Washington leading the way. Washington has the third most rushing yards in the league, and is a back many teams attempt to plan around.

On the defensive side of the ball, Cajuns and the Burglars share the record for most interceptions. Cornerbacks Joe Gott (Burglars) and Deion McNasty (Cajuns) lead these two defensive interception machines, with 5 and 4 respectively.

When it comes to weaknesses, each team does have a chink in its armor. The Burglars main weakness is turnovers. The team has a combined thirteen turnovers (nine interceptions and four fumbles lost). A good enough defense will erase some mistakes, but there are whispers around the league that turnovers may be the Burglars eventually downfall.

The Cajuns, on the other hand, haven’t been able to score many points the last few games. After putting up an impressive one hundred ten points in the first four games of the season, they haven’t scored a touchdown in the last ten quarters of play. Which makes it a good thing that the Cajuns raging defense hasn’t allowed a single touchdown and only four field goals all year.

Both teams hope to roll to an undefeated season, and there are already some in the league who are talking about what would be an epic battle of the undefeateds, as the Cajuns and the Burglars face each other in the last game of the season.

The key to every great team in this league is a dedicated owner. I recently sat down with Cajuns owner Kcirdor and Burglars owner SSlayton10 to get their thoughts on GLB and the season so far.

The transcripts of the interviews with each owner will follow this post.

Kcirdor, owner of the Cajuns

1) How long have you been playing GLB?
Joined up at the end of march

2) How long have you owned your team?
I bought the team about a week after I started playing

3) Do you prefer playing or owning more?
I didnt' get fully addicted to this game until I bought a team and had to spend hours of my life building the team

4) What got you to the 6-0 mark?
A solid assembly of players

5) What is your team's greatest strength?
team work

6) What is it's greatest weekness?
Well our last two games has been our offense but out of those two games we have no weaknesses

7) What is the biggest threat in your conference? In the league?
We've played our biggest threat, the Outlaws. In the league our biggest threat would have to be the Burgers in the last regular season game.

8) What do you like most about GLB?
This game is the ultimate fantasy football game. Perfect for any game geek. ++ It is year round. ++

9) What do you like least?
The offseason has nothing to do.

10) What advice do you have for any new owners and players?
My advice for new players is to gather as much information as you can. Search the forums for guides before you create your player. Also do a little research about the team you are planning on joining. Don't rush to sign your first contract offer.

For owners, you should reach out to fellow owners for starting out advice. Be sure to have reasonable salaries because after building a winning unit, building the stadium is your primary goal. When signing players it is important to have your teams goals or ideas already pre printed to hand out during the interview process. Be sure to send a PM with an attention grabbing title. Get a good idea of whether or not they will be an active member of your community that you will be building.

SSlayton10, owner of Burglars

1) How long have you been playing GLB?
Since Day 17 of Season 1, March 28th

2) How long have you owned your team?
Purchased my team right away, so since Day 17

3) Do you prefer playing or owning more?
Owning is definetly more fun, but also takes alot more time out of your day!

4) What got you to the 6-0 mark?
A great group of guys. We've got some dedicated guys, most have made multiple players for this team and brought them over for depth.

5) What is your team's greatest strength?
Our defense has been solid since last season, so I'd have to say their our biggest strength.

6) What is it's greatest weekness?
I can't say that we have a glaring weakness honestly...

7) What is the biggest threat in your conference? In the league?
Detroit Cheetah's may very well be our biggest threat in conference, happy Capone? He's also the #1 team to beat for me, personal rivalry. The Ragin Cajuns would have to be the biggest threat in the league. Their also undefeated and have great depth. The whole league is competitive though, so its hard to pick only 2!

8) What do you like most about GLB?
I'm a football addict! I love having something to do in the offseason of Fantasy Football.

9) What do you like least?
Flex Points...I've spent too much, damn heroin!

10) What advice do you have for any new owners and players?
New Owners: Find a dedicated group of guys, and stick with them to let them grow with your team. Owners seem to be constantly looking for "higher talent", just find the right guys for your squad and they'll develop in time.

New Players: Ask around before you build your skill points up. There are plenty of guys around here that will advise you on the best builds for your player, and plenty of posts on the forums also. DON'T OVERLOAD INTO SA'S!

Thanks everyone. Any input and suggestions are welcome. I'd like to make this a series. Pick a few teams or players to profile every few days. The next issue will feature the top QB and RB in the league. After that, I was thinking about a feature on league rivalries. Feel free to send me your opinions on what the biggest rivalries are, even if it's just who you think your team's greatest rival is and why.

Thanks again!

Yeah this is a great idea! Maybe interview the GM's and a key player before the week's biggest match up! Or the best match up every week which would only be 4 interviews!
