TORO'S TEXANS vs. Casablanca Golden Eagles
The Toro's have made a great run here of late and put themselves in a great position for the post season. However, they still have a couple games down the road vs the Magic, BBE and the Drunks. However today's match-up shouldn't give them much trouble. Though Casablanca is a well run club and has some good personalities on it, this game shouldn't be close.
Prediction: Toro's 42-21
Algeria Tigers vs. Cairo Mummy Warriors
The competition this year is just fantastic. So its no surprise to see another great match-up. #3 vs #4. Now Algeria has been on quite the roll this season and coming off a great game vs the Texans, they are all but unstoppable since their last lost (vs Revenge) which was 7 games ago!! Meanwhile, the Warriors are bringing in their stalwart group which is also sporting an 8-2 record, so we are in for quite the clash here. This game could go either way, but I am going to go with the Tigers winning the turnover ratio 4-1.
Prediction: Tigers 32-23
Egyptian Necromancers vs. Zimbabwe Mighty Zulu Nation
The the Necromancers will finally get to break the losing streak, its been a while since these guys have seen victory but will get the win here.
Prediction: Necromancers 62-31
Tripoli Terror vs. Tripoli Leathernecks
The Battle for Bragging Rights, the Tripoli Cup has finally come. Loser must change their name!!! That aside, these two teams are also ranked 9 and 10, so should also be a good game. However, its obvious that the best team will win this one, I mean Tripoli will win this game without a doubt. Call your bookie, bet the house as the Tripoli offense is just too much for Tripoli to handle.
Prediction: Tripoli 41-33
Iowa Fortress vs. Botswana Brownie Eaters
2 seasons ago this game would have made headlines across the world, however today it looks like just another BBE win. These two teams have quite a history so I expect lots of penalties and a hard physical game. However, BBE is working on their perfect season and continue to roll here.
Prediction: BBE 37-17
Comoros Crocodiles vs. Monterey Magic
The Magic have worked to getting into the top 8 teams, and succeeded last week after beating the Fortress. This game would normally be an easy win for them, but the Crocodiles actually have a good shot of winning this game. They have good CB play and a great DLINE that has the chance to pull off this upset.
Prediction: Comoros 24-21
Carthage Mercenaries vs. Gunston Drunks
The Mercenaries are stil hanging on to hopes of playoffs and face a well run Drunks squad that is getting back on track after thier last loss 3 weeks ago. This is the kind of game that will give the Drunks some problems, and could become a minor upset. However, I think the Drunks are just too much to handle right now, but I think it will be a good game that could be determined by turnovers.
Prediction: Drunks 31-30
Nigerian Nightmares vs. Khodumodumo's Revenge
The Revenge continue their up and down season as the jury is still out if they make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Nightmares have had some troubles this season, but have honestly had a bad schedule to start having to play Toros, Algeria, Magic, BBE and the Drunks. These are all legit losses, so this game will speak to the nature of both teams. This should be a good game, and I will leave the predictions to the rest.
