the western conference "power week" is just heating up.
Houston Toros VS Fremont Warriors ... game of the week. i cant place my finger on it, but for some reason Houston is my most favoritest team EVER! Houston's doing pretty well so far, but their biggest tests are coming in these next few games, beginning with the powerhouse Fremont. Fremont made a statement last week against a very good GROWL team but i was almost hoping one team would run away with that game and establish dominance. Fremont did what they've done all season though and that's win. with Houston and Philly back to back Fremont's in position to take over the #1 seed alone ... or fall a few spots. my team so no prediction.
Philadelphia Marauders II VS Philadelphia Fighters ... the battle for Philly! it's going to be a knock-down drag-out ... ahhh who am i kidding? the Marauders have established themselves as an elite team with huge levels and could run the table. the Marauders need to use this game to prepare because their guantlet starts next week. the Fighters are still short this season and need to continue to recruit and try new strategies in order to prepare for a return to glory next season. this one wont be close. 65-13 Marauders.
San Francisco Webzoners VS Death Valley Devils ... San Francisco's bounced back from consecutive losses earlier in the season and have gone on a run that might stretch through the rest of the season. last week against Appalachian worried me however, i know App's gotten a lot stronger but a 2 touchdown win isnt a great showing especially compared to Fremont's the week before. DVD still has a couple gimme's on the schedule and a couple more evenly matched games that will decide the final playoff spots, but this is one that i dont think's going to be close if SF decides to play up to their potential. DVD needs to figure out what they can do best against stronger teams here and take that into their next 3 games. 45-24 San Francisco.
SOUTH GEORGIA GROWL VS Appalachian Mountaineers ... this has trap game written all over it. GROWL just got stung in a close loss to Fremont and have similarly tough games in the next two weeks that are commanding their full attention. Appalachian on the other hand is falling in the standings and is playing each game with everything in hopes of just surviving and holding onto a playoff spot despite their brutal schedule. if GROWL want to stay with the top tier, they cant overlook this Appalachian team that's figuring it out just in time. i think we'll see a lower scoring but close game, but there's no reason yet for GROWL not to be the favorite. 27-21 GROWL.
Milwaukee Fire VS Bayou Bengals ... the Fire's schedule is coming in 3's it seems. impressive wins over their last 3 opponents, combined with 3 gimmes looks to give the Fire a guaranteed playoff spot. they'll need to work in these next games however because their final 3 could get ugly if they come in unprepared. this one's a week off though, Fire by 100+.
LaCrosse RiverRats VS Fort Sam Houston Rangers ... LaCrosse by 100+
N'awlins Voodoo VS Chinese Bandits ... i'm really suprised that N'awlins is having so much trouble, but atleast they've got a couple free games to keep working. if the Voodoo dont figure it out by their game against DVD, the playoffs will be out of the picture. N'awlins by 60+.
Farkistan Demons VS Flappin' Skunk Farmers ... take advantage of another bye week Farkistan because you've got a nice matchup against Philly next week, followed by the worst final 4 games possible. Farkistan by 100+.
