Ten teams voted this week, thanks!!
Well the list is starting to solidify, for the third week in a row all Top 5 teams remain the same and in order with one exception....The Kings have caught TLGoT in votes and are now tied with them for 2nd place. I think this tie will be broken one way or the other tomorrow as....
In the Game of the Week, The Kings finally meet The Dream to see once and for all who is Top Dog in the Lion Conference. I'm sure both teams have had this game circled since the beginning of the season. Time for talk is over and tomorrow the score will be settled on the field in what I am sure will be one hell of a bloodbath. The winner of this game will have to be the favorite to go into the playoffs as the #1 seed in Lion.
One team who may have something to say about that are the Ridgebacks. They move up a spot on the list after defeating the Spider Monkeez in convincing fashion and knocking them out of the Top 10 in the process. The 'Backs are getting hot at the right time and have yet to play either Angola or Cape Verde, they could do some damage and take the top spot before the year is out.
Last week's Game of the Week lived up to it's billing. The Pirates beat The Stallions in a brutal defensive battle by kicking the winning FG in overtime. Somalia served notice to everyone in Elephant, they are indeed the real deal. This loss has to hurt Sierra Leone, especially since they had a chance to win on a very long FG of their own in OT. But they continue to have the respect of the voters and still remain on the Top 10.
The Pirates and the Dream continue to remain tied for 6th place two weeks in a row
The newest team on the list, The Botswana Bugeaters, seem to be firing on all cylinders. After losing 4 out of their first 5 games they have ripped off a beautiful 5 game run and are now set to finish strong heading into the playoff run.
That's it this week. I was very happy to see some great writeups in the forums, I enjoy reading them much more than writing them hahaha.
Good Luck everyone!!
