Warrior General Games

5 Games to go and there are a Lot of playoff matchups here! This week can lock some teams in to the playoffs, or set some seeds. I am trying to stay as unbiased on this as possible. If you see something I messed up in the plots to each game let me know and I will fix.

DC (11-0)(1st) Vs Firebirds (7-4)(6th)

-------- GAME OF THE WEEK Firebirds will play a tough game, but nobody has beaten DC yet this year, and I can't predict that it will change this week. I can always hope though.

Sub Plots to this game:
******* A DC win would Mathmatically guarentee them a Playoff spot (but does anyone really think they won't make it with only 1 playoff team left after this week?)
******* A DC win would realistically lock them into the number one seed. Even if they do lose, they would have to lose one more game to drop as they hold tie breakers over both Flashpoint and Key West. This means they should rest their starters this week
******* A Firebird win would keep the Firebirds in contention for the 4th seed. Commando's hold the tie breaker. (But if Firebirds can win out [includes win over TriCity], and TriCity, Commando's, and Firebirds end with the same record [strength of schedule could make this happen], the tie breaker would be split 3 ways so it would go to points scored and Firebirds have the edge)
******* A Firebirds loss doesn't drop them out of the 6th seed as tie breakers and points scored will save them.


Flashpoint (10-1)(2nd) VS TriCity (8-3)(5th)

-------- Seeding implications here again. TriCity is playing very well, currently in the 5th spot. The Flashpoint are very dominent however and I think they take this one on a few punt returns for TD's... LOL.

Sub Plots to this game:
******* If TriCity can pull off the upset, it puts them in great position for the 4th seed {assuming a Commando loss}, and moves Key West up to the second seed (although they still play Kansas).
******* A Kansas victory doesn't change their standings, but keeps TriCity in 5th spot and keeps them in reach of the Firebirds {until they play each other soon}

Key West (10-1) (3rd) VS Commando's (9-2) (4th)

-------- This game has a lot of seeding implications also. Pick goes to Keywest as they are very tough!

Sub Plots to this game:
********* If Commando's win, they can pretty much lock up the 4th seed.
********* IF Key West wins, Commando's are in peril of losing their 4th spot to either TriCity or the Firebirds if those 2 continue to win.
********** a Key West win, pretty much locks a top 3 spot to Key West.

Twisters (6-5)(7th) VS Nevada (6-5) (9th)

********* Playoffs could be on the line for these 2 teams, as the loser will be a game back, drop to (or stay in)9th place and be very low on the tiebreaker list.

********* Must win Twisters as they still play Flashpoint and Commando's so can't afford a loss.
********* Game will determine tie breaker as right now Nevada has a lot more points.

6-8. tricity/college/Kansas
just missing Nevada,Flathead

I still think Flathead can make a late push but I don't think they will be able to make it now.

If Kansas loses this week, and Nevada wins, Kansas will have a tough time getting in as Nevada holds that tie breaker I think.

I guess your next game vs the Portland Aftershocks tells us who is the real power in the West. Now that looks like its going to be a great game. Id have to say Portland takes it tho.
