Does it work? Is there a penalty? What do you guys think?

I wouldn't do it for LOT, but ROT is okay.

Back when I owned a team, I had a backup Center that started at RT because I couldn't find anyone willing to join as our RT and he was just seeing time as a backup. Figured what the hell ... and it worked out just as long as we had depth.

We have a pass block oriented C (sounds retarded since any run block oriented C is automatically a good pass blocking C when up against a NT, just the way it works) playing at LT and it's actually working out great, but I imagine a real LT would be better.

We had a C playing back up OT earlier in the season. There is a small penalty, nobody really knows how much. The real question is does he have the build for it.

When we had the C at LOT he gave up 1 sack in about 30 plays. It all depends on the C. He needs to have the AGL/SPD to play the position.

Well I tried my lvl 39 C at LT and he gave up 3 sacks.... Not a good experiment I guess.

What is his blocking/speed/agility?

My level 34 C has been playing ROT all year and hasn't given up a sack while the lvl 36 OT backing him up has given up several.

Strength:95.81
Blocking:82.81
Speed:40.54
Agility:70.37
Stamina:38.45
Vision:31.67
Confidence:30.75

Centers would make great centers, good guards, and poor left tackles, in my opinion.

Depends on how they are built.

Let's say you take a C and cap strength at level 3 (I know it can be done at 2 but we are going with 3)

So it is 49. Plus if you trained it so that you can get an extra point by training it one more time it is 50. Now leave it alone.

Now you get blocking to 62 at level 10 and then train it to 63.

Now you start working agility up.

Your strength and blocking will be natural 69/75 at level 22 without putting another sp into it and will keep growing from there.

You have a training progression of
Strength/Blocking
Blocking/Agility
Agility/Speed
Speed/Stamina
vision/confidence

Put equipment in stamina early and switch it to blocking/agility later.

Get 1 or 2 pieces of AE with protector if you are going to play LOT.
