Alpha:

#1. Golden Coast Titanz, Man did they flex their powerful muscles this week. Samoa did not know what hit them. They must have sent out the Pee-Wee team by accident. The Titanz are just a beast right now.

#2. Bay City Bohica, What a convincing win over a pretty decent Darwin team. Bay City is one of those aggrivating teams that just does not have many holes and will always be around come time for a big game.

#3. Easter Island Moai, Very, very impressive win this week over a great Gamecocks team. I was really suprised at the final score, I was thinking more of a closer game but when you outscore you opponent by 20 in the second and third quarter combined, you will probably win.

#4. Amarillo Super Frogs, Definatly a good win. This team's character is starting to shape. They are facing a little more tough teams and they are showing some back bone, but after week 11 against Guam and week 12 vs Palau, we will know exacly what we are looking at with Amarillo.

#5. Guam Gamecocks, They just BARELY make it to #5. They are saved by the one point win over Palau, otherwise Palau would be here and Guam on the outside looking in. Guam really needs to right the ship quickly.

Zeta:

#1. Hueco Mundo Hollows, Very good team here ladies and gents. They played a solid game and won against a good Tas Devils team. Boy I would love, love, love a Hueco vs Golden Coast scrimmage! HINT, HINT!

#2. Asau Assassins, What a HUGE win over Fiji. This team is proving they belong in the top of Alpha. That was a major win, a landmark win. Asau is another one of those teams that will just never go away.

#3. Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts, They had a vveerryy dominating performance over a really solid Krakatoa team. I was kind of shocked at the final score. Davy really is one of those teams that could win any game, any day.

#4. Fiji Panzer, Man that was a tough loss. They got a mud hole stomped in their face. Oh well, proof positive of just how great the competition is in AA. Fiji could very well do the same to any team in AA. Just a tough week here.

#5. Sumatra Sea Hawks, I am very unimpressed with the Coney loss. Coney is a good team, but a 5-5 record is not exactly beastish (no offense to Coney). Sumatra is still a great team, but is showing a few holes they have.

Games to Watch

Alpha:

Amarillo Super Frogs @ Guam Gamecocks.
Guam needs this win to get back on that dominant track. Amarillo needs this win to prove they are who we think they are. This should be a great game. One of those games that could be very tight, or a easy win either way. I cannot really get a feel for this one.

Zeta:

Coney Island Warriors @ Asau Assassins.
The Coney story has me just rivited right now. They are on a four game win streak with wins over, get this, Davy AND Sumatra! Holyyy Crap! Asau is on a super hot streak right now and would sure love to keep it going, but can the super hot Coney Island Warriors take down the Assassins? Never know what will happen when the Hot Dog and the Assassin rumble.

We've played Gold Coast at least once the last 3 seasons. Of course only 1 of the games mattered (Season 5 Championship back in A4).
Been close every game, though.

Would be a helluva game if we meet again, but its still too early for that. There are quite a few good teams in AA2 that have good shots at getting to the title match this season.

Oh man that would be great. I would do a full break down of that game. Both teams are just soo stinking good.

I really like the Hueco Mundo team and its owner. It would be great if we were able to meet up again in the Championship.

But as kweideman says. There are a lot of really good teams standing in the way of both of us.

I do believe they are the closest thing we do have to a rivalry. Very competative games every time we play.

Good luck to the Hueco Mundo team from here on out. Maybe and hopefully!

Definatly right now there is no doubt in my mind that the two best playing teams are Golden Coast and Hueco Mundo.

BUT AA is so competitive that anybody and everybody can lose on any given day.

Thanks!

Ya I am doing the ranking in OA#3 also. I tweaked it a little. It is not very competitive so a top 10 overall is a much better format.

i think your style is perfect. you only list the top 5 in each conference and at the halfway point you listed up to 8 just to show the playoff picture at the halfway point.

being opinion based makes it interesting just because it will always allow room for discussion. But the people who do it with the spreadsheet formulas also may be a bit off simply because of who plays who when in the season and the gutted teams really skew the numbers at times. So either way is cool.

Its all about the discussion anyway. Everyone gets their chance at everyone on the field. If you dont like the rankings. Beat the guy ahead of you and prove yourself. Ya know?

I really like it. Thanks for doing it!

def a fan of the human analysis and not the inaccuracies and misleading rankings of the spreadsheet...unless GLB suddenly loses all gutted teams and competition becomes equal it will stay that way.

That unfortunetly will never happen as long as people want to win. Players jump ship because of loseing records . Its hard to maintain a team when you cant break the top 8 let alone the top 4 every season. That in turn leads to FA's who wont sign . Leads to dissatisfaction amoung players already on the team and that leads to players jumping ship . Which leads to Owners selling back teams .

AAA #1 South America has 5 CPU teams because of this . I suspect that we may see 1 or 2 more before all is said and done . Make for stat padding for teh top tier teams . The main reason why I am really enjoying OA AA2 is the very evenly comptitive balance of this league .
