Alright, 7-1 last week, no real huge surprises except for FHockey winning its second straight game. And since it is inauguration day, politics themed! Or maybe not. That got boring quickly.

Cincinnati Cardinals vs Moose Jaw Roughriders: Poor poor Roughriders. After two weeks of winning to face the Cards. It is really sad. You guys are gonna get beat worse than Sarah Palin will when she tries to run in 2010.
Prediction: Cards by 31.

Manitoba Maulers vs. Fhockey.com Demos: Can the Demos pull off another straight upset? Can the Republicans ever win California and NY in the same year? Odds are the same.
Prediction: Maulers win like their name was Obama.

Vancouver Vikings vs Canada Dragons: After becoming Chicken Feed last week, the Dragons are looking to keep this BBB #10 rivalry alive by upsetting the Vikings who have been looking better as the season has gone on.
Prediction: Vikings by 14.

North Bay Drift vs Alberta Irukandji: North Bay is a great team with only two losses and both of those to good teams. They should ideally finish the season with three losses.
Prediction: North Bay by 17.

Edmonton Thunderchiefs vs Fort McMurray Mounted Police: After a tough loss to the Cardinals in which the Thunderchiefs showed that they are among the best teams in the conference.
Prediction: Thunderchiefs by 31.

Arroz Con Pollo vs Laval Crusaders: A CPU team...oh no! What will the Super-Chickens do? Perhaps the wicked Crusaders will find their weakness?
Prediction: Pollo by 98.

Victoria Fish vs Manitoba Lions: Which team can flounder more ineffectively? Why the Fish, of course!
Prediction: Lions by 4.

Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts vs Saskatchewan Thrashers: Two gimme games in a row. Lucky bastards. I'm betting that the Thrashers are really looking forward to near year in BBB at this point.
Prediction: Thunderbolts by 175.

thanks for the predictions. Cards by 31 over Roughriders is too low.
Manitoba Maulers beat us by about that, and Cards are even better.
We'll be lucky to keep it to 6-7 touchdowns.

No their not Dimmy. You guys have the stuff to beat them. The Cards have good depth and a solid game plan but it can be beat. Moose Jaw has shown some bite. You Can Do It!!!

For some reason we never really rack up the points. We win a lot, but we never destroy. I think part of that is our conservative, consistant offense. The other part is that we have a strong D and often use that to win games. What am I saying? I'm predicting we beat the thrashers in week 15, but not by half of what some of the other teams (which we beat) do. We're just like that.

I'd like to deny that one, Blue. You average a win margin of 27 points.

It is very consistant. I'm not saying that the Maulers are great or that our opponents are the same. Rather, I think our offense, due to clock reasons, etc, scores a fairly consistant amount except when faced with a supreme defence. We generally don't have the explosive scores some other teams do.

I'll take consistent wins over "spontaneous" explosions but not winning as much any day.

Because in the end, unless there's a tie, the score doesn't mean shit...it's W or L.

The amount of points scored definitely effects your seeding if the records are the same.

that's what I meant by ties.....but being you are 8-1 and we are 5-4...I'd take your record over ours right now...

That's where I was going with that comment.

Well the Maulers have yet to play their Puff Ball games both of which occur back to back before the Cards. I would predict 100+ point wins for both those games.

Not to poke holes in Blue's theories, but Maulers have given 6 teams their biggest losses of their season to date. Only 2 teams the Maulers have scored more points on then any other team (3 more are close). The Maulers might not have the most productive offense, but definitely a good offensive and defensive combination.

I would say this league has been competitive and the playoffs should be very interesting and ripe with upsets.

I would almost guarantee there will be some upsets in the playoffs!

I completely agree with Pr0z's post. I was just commenting on the relatively uniform scoring and possible reasons why. Our scoring will be up on those "Puff Ball" games, but I bet we don't out-score some of the other teams we beat. We'll see...

lol again, yeah like FIFTY points. I wish our offense scored 40-50 a game against non-CPU teams.
