After 8 weeks in the books the playoff seeding is still very murky as the top teams start to separate them selves from the pack. A major upset last week may have saved SIP’s season and the Bears need to make an upset special this week. This is a very important week for playoff seeding as most games have playoff implications and tie breakers on the line.
Berlin Devine Right vs Seattle Panthers
Berlin is coming off a demolishing of the Souls and playing in Seattle against a very underrated Panthers team. The Panthers almost beat the Cowboys with the combo of Miller to D'Ortenzio before a 4th quarter collapse. The Panthes must not let that happen again and they also must stop the Right offense from scoring early and often. Ball control and turnovers will keep the Panthers in the game. The Right are going to be just too much with their suffocating defense that the Panthers will throw up the white flag mid way through the 3rd.

Cocaine Cowboys vs Bundaberg Drop Bears

The Cowboys are currently 8-0 and look to go 9-0. The Bears are 7-1 and 1 more lose will take them out of contention for the #1 playoff spot. The Bears only loss came to the hands of the Souls in a very lop sided game, so which team will show up versus the Cowboys? I think the Cowboys will start strong using the strong legs of Hanel and jump out to an early 14 point lead. Then the Bears defense shuts them down. I look for the upset as Waffle finds Owens all game long opening up the running lanes for Head. The big men upfront for the Cowboys better be up for the challenge.

Rekohu Raptors vs Atlantis Lost Souls
Raptors are pissed about their loss to SIP. Souls are coming off their worst loss in their short franchise’s history. Sorry Souls, but the Raptors are out for blood and it will cost you your 3rd loss this year. It may get ugly quick, but I can’t see that happening.

Blood Gulch Pumas vs Solomon Islands Pack
This is a big game for both teams. The winner has a good shot at the #4 seed as the loser will drop to the 6 seed. The Pumas have the 5 game winning streak on the line after losing their first 3 games. The Pumas are starting their make or break part of the schedule with 3 straight games against playoff caliber teams, and finish off with 5 of their 8 remaining games with playoff implications. SIP pulled the stunning defeat of the Raptors and I can’t see any team in this league being able to stop their passing attack. WR Danny Papale is the best in entire league and he carries the team. He’s just uncoverable. That won’t change in this game either.
