Well it's gameday again and I'm here to deliver your predictions you love so much. Also I'm thinking about giving offensive and defensive player of the week awards here after the game just for fun if that's cool with you guys.
Benin Black Mambas (2-4) W1 vs. Ivory Coast Breakers (1-4-1) L4
Benin came through with a big win against Ethiopia last week which should give them a confidence booster against the Breakers. Benin should win this matchup as their offense should have little trouble with the Breakers defense. I'm also going to predict 2 TDs for Mr. Untouchable! With a win today the Mambas will begin clawing themselves out of the hole they dug.
Benin-51 Ivory Cost-17
Madagascar Wild (5-1) W3 vs. Rhodesian Ridgebacks (0-6) L16
The Wild are fresh off an impressive win against the Mauritius Mountain Lions. They made it look easy! Now they get the Rhodesian bye week as they prepare for their week 8 matchup with Freetown.
Madagascar-250 Rhodesian-0
Egyptian War Gods (5-1) W3 vs. Michigan Nation (5-1) L1
I think this has to be the week 7 game of the week! Michigan is coming off a frustrating loss to Cardiff where they threw an INT with less than a minute left and down by 2. They will be playing angry today and I expect at least a fight or two to break out as they try to take it out on an Egypt team that is on a 3 game winning streak. Egypt has looked impressive putting up huge offensive numbers during that streak. This one might come down to whoever has the ball last....and you can trust if it is Michigan they won't make the same mistake two games in a row. If Michigan had one last week I might be tempted to pick Egypt, but I'm not picking against an angry Michigan!
Michigan-35 Egypt-28
Uganda Crowned Cranes (2-4) L2 vs. Ethiopian Food Mongers (1-5) L5
Ethiopia just hasn't looked good the last couple of games. They have had a pretty brutal schedule and started off well, but have underperformed of late. I like Uganda in this game because they have been a scrappy team all season long and really seem to have put it together of late despite losing the last two games. Maybe Ethiopia will show some heart and come to play today, if it will be close. If they trot out the same team as the last couple of games I think Uganda wins this by two scores at least.
Uganda-41 Ethiopia-24
Mauritius Mountain Lions (4-2) L1 vs. Savanna Pride (2-3-1) L3
This should be a fun game to watch. Both teams seem to be fairly evenly matched and I expect this to come down to gameplanning. Justin Marchant, QB of the Mountain Lions, has had some turnover problems this season and that might come into play in this game. This one is a tossup, but I'm going to give the nod to Savanna.
Savanna-31 Mauritius-28
Lethoso Rollers (1-5) W1 vs. Freetown Jayhawks (4-2) L1
Lethoso has been in a lot of close losses and finally caught a break with Rhodesian last week. Despite the difference in records both teams seem to be pretty equal in talent. Freetown definately will not be overlooking Lethoso after their frustrating loss against Zimbabwe last week. Lethoso desperately needs a winning streak, and Freetown definately does not want a losing streak going into their game next week against the Wild.
Freetown-35 Lethoso-28
Cardiff Cobras (5-1) W3 vs. Madagascar Grand JagerMenze (3-3) W1
Cardiff seems to finally have things figured out as they pulled off a huge win against Michigan last week. Despite all their momentum I'm calling for an upset special in this game! Look for a big game from Harper Randall as he make some clutch catches near the end of regulation.
Madagascar-28 Cardiff-24
Zimbabwe Hyenas (6-0) W6 vs. P-Town Ballaz (4-2) W2
Can anybody beat Zimbabwe? I think so! Unfortunately I don't think P-Town will be the ones to end the Hyenas perfect season. P-Town has benefitted from a fairly easy schedule so far, and hasn't looked overly impressive against anyone I would consider to be championship contenders. If Zimbabwe can fend off the Ballaz today, I expect them to be 9-0 going into their matchup with Michigan in week 10.
Zimbabwe-41 P-Town-21
