Zeta Power Rankings

1. (1) Amsterdam Pirates (83-7 Win vs. Arlington Sandlot)

6-0 (1-0 vs. Top 5 teams in Zeta)

Well I was dead on that the game wouldn’t be close and that the Sandlot would score exactly 7 points in this match up. The Pirates are yet to play a tough game and won’t get tested this week as the leagues favorite team and owner welcome the Pirates to town. It’s going to be ugly; I’m guessing about 115-7 in this one. Congratulations to RB Tenks PB for topping the 1,000 rushing yards in the teams 6th game.
Next game vs. #14 Papa Dong’s Dragon Farm

2. (2) West Yorkshire Bandits (29-24 Win vs. Stafford Spartans)

6-0 (2-0 vs. Top 5)

The Game of the Week lived up to the hype this week. A close 5 - point win vs. the Spartans was a nice way for the Bandits to open up this rough 4 game stretch that will see them playing all playoff teams. The Bandits made a couple of turnovers in this one that helped the game stay a bit closer. Tonight they will go against the Chicagoo Bears but while they are ranked #3 it will be their first real test of test of the season and I think the Bandits may win this one by 25.
Next game vs. #4 Chicagoo Bears

3. (3) Stafford Spartans (24-29 Loss vs. Yorkshire Bandits)

5-1 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

After a tough loss to the Bandits we saw a lot of good sportsmanship, as there were a good amount of “good game” posts and comments following the Spartans first loss of the season. Never fun to lose and especially to a top team that you had been gunning for, for weeks. The Spartans D played great as they allowed only 48 yards on the ground and while the Bandits put up 320 in the air it took 49 attempts and they intercepted 2 that led to TD’s. Another pat on the back to the 3rd RB to top the 1,000-yard mark this week to Franco “The Bus” Blier although he had the toughest day of the 3 RB’s as he was held to 88 yards on 23 carries. The Spartans will need to stay focused as they play an improving Glasgow Cats team.
Next game vs. #8 Glasgow Cats

4. (4) Chicagoo Bears (73-7 Win vs. Kickback Cavaliers)

6-0 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

The Bears would be #3 but as promised I moved them down one spot since they gave up points to the Cavaliers. The Bears have relied almost entirely on the running game this season (638 yards in this one) but I’m positive they will need to throw some to beat the Bandits, as they won’t be able to run over this team like they have over the lower talent they have played so far. If any of the 3 (why so many) QB’s manages to throw in the game they could keep it close but they haven’t done well thus far and that could make things ugly vs. a top notch opponent.
Next game vs. #2 West Yorkshire Bandits

5. (5) EuroTrash Talkers (101-6 Win vs. Papa Dong’s Dragon Farm)

5-1 (0-0 vs. Top 5)

Another easy opponent and easy win for the Trash Talkers as they await a real team to the season that will give them a good game. Just under 900 yards on the ground in this latest laugher as they scored early and often to crush the Dong’s. Another RB Armen Williams tops the 1,000-yard mark in the 6th game of the year and could maybe put up another 1,000 vs. the Cavs tonight. As promised last week and will continue the Talkers will be bumped down 1 spot if they give up a point to the Cavs. This game will hardly be worth a glance.
Next game vs. #16 Kickback Cavaliers

6. (6) Ireland Drunken Irish (93-14 Win vs. Wolverhampton Wolverines)

4-2 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

The Drunken Irish are hitting on all cylinders after a pasting of the Wolverines by 79-points. HB Smashface Wester cruised with 174 yards and 5 TD’s in this one as the Irish prepare for rougher waters ahead. Tonight’s game will be a good warm up before playing 4 tough playoff teams in a row. They will need a good performance tonight to get everything in order for the Spartans on Friday night. The Snaps will provide a good practice for the Irish but they will cruise to a 30-point victory.
Next game vs. #9 Aalborg Snaps

7. (7) Copenhagen Hounds (110-0 Win vs. Trondheim Berserkir)

4-2 (0-2 vs. Top 5)

After a tough loss last time out the Hounds bounce back and paste a team that just isn’t any good. Nice to see that the Hounds didn’t have a hangover after their close loss to the Irish. They have 4 games in a row where they should just absolutely roll before playing Spartans. They need to keep beating up on lesser teams as they end the season vs. two tough opponents and don’t want to have their playoffs in question heading into those match ups. This team can pad the stats again tonight as they will beat down the Wolverines.
Next game vs. #12 Wolverhampton Wolverines

8. (8) Glasgow Cats (37-35 Win vs. Aalborg Snaps)

2-4 (0-2 vs. Top 5)

A great game vs. the Snaps keeps the Cats playoff hopes alive. A long 6 min 19 second drive in the 4th that was capped off with a 3 yard TD run by Tyler Hugh Lewis broke the Snaps back for good. The key play in the game and the Drive was made by OT Joe Walstreet as he recovered a fumble that kept the ball in their hands as they continued to march towards the end zone. Important as well since both teams will probably be battling it out for the 8th and final playoff spot. No luck in the schedule though as the Cats go from back to back wins to playing a tough Spartan team that is eager to get back to their winning ways this week. The Cats are improving and will be a really good team in this league next year but will be pushed to the edge and probably get a beating tonight by the Spartans. Spartans will score early and often and win by 50.
Next game vs. #3 Stafford Spartans

9. (9) Aalborg Snaps (35-37 Loss vs. Glasgow Cats)

3-3 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

The Snaps started off strong but have lost back to back games and are looking a third loss right in the face as they play the Irish tonight. The Snaps gained more yards then did the Cats and QB Mickel Lite had a good game tossing 3 TD’s but it just wasn’t enough as the Snaps fell by 2 points. The Snaps will likely lose 6 of their next 7 or will be underdogs at the very least so this loss was crucial to their playoff hopes. They will need to pull of an upset somewhere in that mix if they want to make the tournament this season. They were an early surprise and much like the Cats they will be a good team in this league next year, as they seem overmatched vs. the Top 6-7 teams right now. The Irish will move the ball at will and hold the Snaps to 100-150 yards of offense.
Next game vs. #6 Ireland Drunken Irish

10. (12) Washington Warriors (21-3 Win vs. Artic Demon Santas)

2-4 (0-1 vs. Top 5)

Back to back wins for the Warriors has to be a pleasant surprise as they started off with a tough schedule and big losses early. They look for a their third straight win tonight as they play the Sandlot who are yet to win a game. Look for the Warriors defense to keep the Sandlots offense grounded as they did to the Santas in this one. Warriors will win a close one 27-17.
Next game vs. #11 Arlington Sandlot

11. (10) Arlington Sandlot (7-83 Loss vs. Amsterdam Pirates)

0-6 (0-4 vs. Top 5)

A rough season keeps on getting worse with yet another blowout loss. However, the silver lining may be showing itself soon as the Sandlot are with most of the top teams. They won’t roll the bottom teams but some wins are coming this teams direction. If they can keep their heads up they will have a shot tonight vs. the Warriors. I still see this one in the loss column for the Sandlot but they could make a game of it.
Next game vs. #10 Washington Warriors

12. (11) Wolverhampton Wolverines (14-93 Loss vs. Ireland Drunken Irish)

2-4 (0-2 vs. Top 5)

The one bright spot in their latest big loss was that they managed to score 14 points again vs. a good team. They threw it 56!!! Times in the game as they tried to hang tough but nothing doing vs. the solid defense of the Irish. Tonight’s game looks to be equally as tough as the Hounds can put up points in a hurry. I see the Wolverines defense getting torched for 100 points in this one. The schedule is not going to be friendly going forward as the Wolverines will likely lose their next 6 games starting tonight.
Next game vs. #7 Copenhagen Hounds

13. (13) Artic Demon Santas (3-21 Loss vs. Washington Warriors)

1-5 (0-2 vs. Top 5)

The Demon Santas didn’t have super high hopes coming into the season but they never imagined losing 5 in a row while only scoring 20 points in that span. Yes, they played tough teams but only managing 3 points vs. the Warriors has to be tough to swallow. Good new however is that the Berserkirs are coming to town and they are possible the worst team in our conference. The Santas stop the slide and get a win tonight.
Next game vs. #15 Trondheim Berserkir

14. (14) PaPa Dong’s Dragon Farm (6-101 Loss vs. EuroTrash Talkers)

0-6 (0-3 vs. Top 5)

This team sucks. They will lose tonight 110-3 and the 3 is being nice.
Next game vs. #1 Amsterdam Pirates

15. (15) Trondheim Berserkir (0-110 Loss vs. Copenhagen Hounds)

0-6 (0-2 vs. Top 5)

As predicted again the Berserkirs coughed up another 100 point loss. They play the Santas tonight and there is no way they can give up 100 again, or is there? Please, please, please for your teams sake score 1 damn point in this game. Losing is one thing but getting shutout in 6 straight is really ridiculous.
Next game vs. #13 Artic Demon Santas

16. (16) Kickback Cavaliers (7-73 Loss vs. Chicagoo Bears)

0-6 (0-3 vs. Top 5)

Congratulations to the Cavaliers for scoring a point vs. the Bears in their most recent loss which now makes 20 in a row. The cost the Bears the #3 spot and will look to get a point again tonight vs. the EuroTrash Talkers. I see them getting shutout in this one and losing 94-0. They will keep the streak alive at 21 straight. Great work fellas.
Next game vs. #5 Euro Trash Talkers

Zeta Game of the Week-
#2 West Yorkshire Bandits vs. #4 Chicagoo Bears. Yet another Game of the Week that the Bandits will be apart of. They are perfect so far and look to remain so tonight.

This year we may/will have teams in and out of the top 5. The record vs. Top 5 teams will reflect your record vs. teams that were in the top 5 when you played them

My guess is that they'll be Top 5 after tonight's games since I think the Bears will lose to the Bandits.

I want them to be as close to 100% accurate as they can be so what is the error? Looking at your schedule it all looks right to me.

Good thing these rankings dont determine if we get a playoff game or not. Good writeups though and I expect the Irish to work our way back in to the top 4 very soon. Keep it up BADAS$ very entertaining.

Another win for the Warriors tonight, not too bad for a team with only 3 CB's Recruiting sucks this off season.
