Almost mid-season already! Can't believe the time has passed so quickly. This conference is the best I've ever been in, especially with the Fish finding their jaws last week, a Moose was evidently holding it.
Saskatchewan Thrashers vs. Edmonton Thunderchiefs: Is it really right to call it vs? It is more like a sacrifice to than a game against.
Thunderchiefs by 225.
Laval Crusaders vs. Cincinnati Cardinals: Sadly, I think this might have been the easier half of the Crusaders' schedule. Even sadder, they play the Cardinals this week. Expect the domination to continue.
Prediction: Cardinals by 49.
Manitoba Lions vs Fort McMurray Mounted Police: FMMP (which really, sounds like a horrible wet fart sound if you try to say it like that) played a good game against the Vikings last week. The Lions got mauled in a hometown battle. Look for the Lions to take out some frustration this game.
Prediction: Lions by 10.
Manitoba Maulers vs Alberta Jellyfish/Australian Aborigines (imports): Alberta has perhaps played the 2nd hardest schedule so far this season, but has done progressively worse. This trend will continue as Manitoba stomps them into the cold tundra of the Mauler Arena (really, that was the best ya'll came up with?).
Daylaboring Chickens vs North Bay Drift: GAME OF THE WEEK! This one ought to be a great one. Expect the immigrants to pull out another great gameplan, but will it be enough to stop the Drift's crazy RBs?
Prediction: Drifting away by 14 in a high scoring affair.
Fhockey.com Demos vs. Vancouver Vikings: Fhockey is having some serious trouble this season getting themselves together, although they played a hell of a game against the Chickens this last week. If they've finally got things together, this could be a good matchup. The Vikings...really would like to find their offense. It has gone missing, have you seen it? D is doing good, but wow, that offense is nowhere to be seen lately.
Prediction: Vikings by 7 in another low scoring game.
Canada Dragons vs The Toothless Moosi: Both of these teams have lost to the Fish, which is not a good distinction to have in this league, although it might become a more common one as the season goes on. Oldbaldone has gotten really quiet as the season has progressed. Hopefully he's spending that time gameplanning for this game. Otherwise I think the Moosi are going to be grinning with some Dragon teeth.
Prediction: Moosi by 10.
Rancho Penasquitos Thunderbolts vs Victoria Fish: This ought to be a real test to see if the win over the Roughriders was a fluke for the Fish or not. Rancho has played a really tough schedule so far and was probably hoping for an easy game here. It isn't gonna happen. This game has the possibility of playoff implications down the line. I just don't see the Fish's D being able to hold back Rancho's offense when it counts.
Predictions: Rancho by 7.
