Granted we are a very good team, and doing very well with basically our same roster as last season...

But dang, if I just cannot help myself and try to make my team better...

Maybe tomorrows roster will be a little different than todays...

I am the same way. I am constantly scanning the trade block for ways to improve. My Pro Personnel dept has already upgraded at two positions and I am never satisfied.

My big thing is that I like to find players that meet the following criteria:

1) Have to boost
2) Have to have custom
3) Stand the chance of retaining the player for more than just this season

And using these 3 criteria, I added NO PLAYERS from the team lasat season. SO I picked up a decent DE, but it turns out he is a rental...

So I decided that my core will always be here, but I could go ahead and get a couple rentals just for this season, until I can find the player that meets the criteria. I hate doing that, but I want to at least make a shot at winning it all this season....

dude.

why do you think we merged?

finding even a single agent that wants to join your team for the long term is damn near impossible. Most of the solid guys in GLB stick with a team from the start, meaning the ones out on the FA market are either coming from disbanded team, or left because of more selfish reasons.

it was really the ONLY option for us, sad, but i can count on hate and dang being here, as well as our core group of agents staying put. nobody cared about being benched and even those players that were pushed out were very understanding.

needless to say, there's a lot left to be desired in this game.

My entire team with the exception of a handful of players are signed long-term. I don't need rentals. I want guys who want to be together for a long time on the way up to the Pro Leagues.

I sign all of my players to only 1 season day 40 contracts. A couple of people have said I should do it different, but I like 1 year contracts for my own players, and feel very confident no one will leave...

Our team has been virtually identical the last two seasons. We've added and subtracted only a couple of players each season, usually getting rid of inactive players for active ones but other than that, we have the same players that were losing to AKM and the Seahawks a couple seasons ago.

We really started focusing on builds and tactics.

Our game planning I honestly think is second to none. And the fact that we have a lot of knowledgeable people in regards ot builds help.

And BTW, I mean really KNOWLEDGEABLE people in regards to builds. Not just people that think they know builds...

BUT.....what if it is YOUR guys who are the ones who only think they know builds?
I wasnt aware of anyone other than Bort who had access to the code.

Personally I prefer the way Weykool runs RGB than teams always looking to add a new player here or there. Our core group of agents accounts for the vast majority of the team. Everyone gets a say, everyone really loves playing for the team and everyone knows that they are not under threat of losing their jobs. Seems to work - we win enough without mass changes each season.

That is the way we do it, and it seems to work very well. Nice not having to worry about Chemistry every season
