Which would be better for a LBer?

Advanced cleats +2 speed deflect ball chance 4% (already upgraded 1 time originally +1 speed deflect ball chance 2%)

or

Advanced cleats +2 tackling intercept chance 2% (not upgraded)


I could sell the deflect ones and then upgrade the intercept to +2 tackling +1 speed intercept chance 4% immediately.

Well, unless your LBer already has good catching, intercept chance isn't gonna be that great, so I'd stick with the deflect.

I don't like the +% modifiers, imo.

I would keep the speed piece because having a fast LB corps is the staple of my defense. It depends on what position you're playing and where your other equipment is.

I don't really like either of those pieces for reasons already stated.

From personal experience with my AE I have to agree with Bleeds. I see a lot more help from a piece with a +SA than a +%.

I would stick with the deflect piece though if those are the options.

Once upgraded the +2 tackling one would start gaining speed so I'd really only lose 1 speed. I think the % modifiers work great. He also has a piece of gear that is 7% make tackle chance and I've noticed his tackles have gone up and missed tackles down since I got that. That's right about the catching stat though I'll take a look at that. Maybe I will keep them both and switch every so often. It would be perfect if it was a different piece that I wasn't already using AE for.
