chase did not realize he was the only one taking the interview so we got what he really thought.....ahoda is gay and there are vast predictions spewing from cdcollins mouth here we are flame away
Allout,
Good evening, it's Chase. I hope all's going well for you!
This was a fun little interview, thanks for having us all do this. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's responses. Take it easy, and if you ever need anything, feel free to PM me!
Best,
Chase
1. How many players do u have?
I have two players on Kingston right now. Our RDE#2, Eddie Chase, and our CB#4, Jeff Megee. Two starters from our Season 5, Canada BBB#2 championship team that took backup spots just to see the team to do well, which it certainly has. And it's a bit odd in a way, especially since I'm Kingston's OC and more offensively-minded. In total, I have 30 players on about a dozen teams; 19 of those players are Level 22 or less, so I'm going to be around for a while, haha.
2. What is ur favorite position to create?
There's lots of fun ones to build, and some are much easier than others. My personal favorite is my K, I have to say. No position will bring you as much anguish or as much pride as a kicker. I've had my kicker in back-to-back weeks hit 7 FGs in a playoff victory, then shank an extra point in the 1st quarter which allowed a game to go to OT which my Tonga squad subsequently lost to the eventual conference champions. I think Modok might remember that one. But on the whole, I've seen my K develop more than any other position I've made. And I've made them all.
3. What is the most important position in ur mind?
A tough question, especially since there's really no wrong answer here. As far as a positional "group" goes, I'd have to say offensive line. With a dominant offensive line, it blows the cover off the playbook in terms of what your offense can do. As far as individual position, I'd have to say CB. With a dominant, shut-down CB, it gives a DC the ability to design interesting, tricky, aggressive blitzing packages without the fear of being burned for a long bomb.
4. How long have u played GLB?
I created my first player, my K, on Season 1, Day 19 (March 30th, 2008), after I found a link on the UVA fan website (http://www.thesabre.com). Like the noob I was, I boosted to Level 4 immediately, and signed onto a human team. I was cut the very next day by the owner (I can't remember who). I logged off, went inactive for about 3 weeks, and then logged back in. And I've been addicted to the game ever since!
Now that the basic shit is out of the way heres the better stuff
1. Disregarding Dolfan who do u think is the most hated/dumbest/stupid person in Canada A #1?
LOL, he had enough stupid for 5 people, and you all know what Ron White says about stupid. I'd have to go with Earth Wan, another one of Calgary's little pawns. Aside from talking smack while having just one player and no GM position on Calgary, his hatred of me comes all the way from the Season 5 playoffs, when Calgary's henchmen arrogantly predicted that no one could stand up to them after a 16-0 regular season, and proceeded to lose their first round game 29-26 to a team that barely snuck into the playoffs. When the forum proceeded to pwn them from every foreseeable direction, I made one little snippet which must have been the straw that broke the camel's back: "It looks like karma bit Calgary square in the ass." Well, they decided to attack us, and it particularly galled them when we marched onto the title that season. And it's continued to this day. So, that's my reason.
2. Whats ur prediction for the final 4 in Canada A #1
Haha, this is going to stir some flames, as if the first question didn't do that enough! Alright, I predict a Revelstoke/Kingston final in the East, and I think that would be most fitting. In the West, I see a Toronto/Moose Factory showdown for the title.
3. Why do u think personally that the western conference is better then the east?
Haha, I don't think the West is better. But I know that the talent in the West is comparable to that in the East. Toronto beat us in an early season scrimmage, and were we to play in the finals, I'd expect nothing less than a classic game.
4. Rumor has it Ahoda came out of the closet and asked Modok on a date....whats ur speculation?
Crazy enough, I've had a history with Modok and Ahoda both before Canada A#1. I've known Modok since Season 3 when we were both in Oceania AA#2, and Ahoda from Oceania AA#4. I remember Ahoda saying things like "bend over" and "take your punishment" to the newbies last season. So there's always been some sexual tension with Ahoda. That, and the bizarro Iwo Jima flag in his avatar. Though I saw Ahoda and Modok walking side-by-side in the lobby of the Ritz Carlton before our preseason banquet, I can neither confirm nor deny and alleged action.
5. As a member of the Kingstons Devils Brigade what is ur biggest concentration before a game?
Watching porn. No, strike that. It's making sure my Offensive AI is perfectly tweaked to what we want to do for the upcoming week.
6. collins being a seasoned vet whats ur biggest advice to the new comers of the A league?
I'd have to say to our A#1 newcomers to keep your head above water, and keep fighting to get better every single week. Last year, Kingston was newly promoted, and we started out 1-4. We ended up 10-6, and lost to last season's conference champion, Niagara Falls, in the final minute of the game. This season, we're a legitimate title contender. The cream will always rise to the top, and the anchors will always sink to the bottom. If you continually strive to improve yourself, both in bringing in new teammates and reading/learning about AI advantages, you'll eventually become a championship contender.
7. Looking at the team promoted from BBB what teams do u think fair the best here?
I've been really impressed by what Windsor Armin's has done in the East. I see them having a legitimate shot at winning a first round playoff game if they can improve and get into that 4-5 matchup. I don't see them beating Revelstoke, Kingston, or St. John's this year, sadly. In the West, I've been most impressed with Prince Edward Island. I see them likewise perhaps winning a first round playoff game if they can slip into the 4-5 slot. I think Windsor Armin's has the best chance to advance to the second round of the two teams, but these two teams will be teams to look out for in Season 8.
8. AUWINS was a owner of a team i was previously on, he stole my offensive AI and kicked me off the team, would u send him a pm for me?
How long ago was it? And if recently, how mean do you want it to be? Haha.
9. Also in the works here at Windsor is a new Strip Club we were wondering if we could borrow dolfan to dance for the gays?
You'll have to ask Average Joe's to see, I'm afraid. But when they're eliminated from playoff contention in Week 9, I suppose they'd let him come and shake his 285-pound ass for all the men.
10. closing out this interview I appreciate your time, is there any last words ud like to add?
Thanks for having me here today, allout, it was a blast. I wish everyone the best of luck through the rest of the season, but I do wish Kingston a smidge more, of course! And if any of this was offensive, I apologize. But Hell, it's all in good fun!
