New Teams in the Top 10: Angola Spider Monkeez

Teams dropping out of the Top 10: Sierra Leone Stallions

Nine teams voted this week.

The battle for first place rages as both LOL and TLGoT gain 170 points a piece. LOL retains the top spot though because they have 5 first place votes compared to 4 by TLoT. Who will blink first?

LOL has their first tough matchup of the year this week against the Stallions, a team still smarting over their loss to Cairo in last week's game of the week. The Stallions not only lost the game, but got knocked out of the Top 10 in the process. Will they be healthy enough to give LOL their best? We shall see.

TLGoT stood tough against the Pirates in their first real test last week. They are rewarded with a cupcake game today and are anxious to see one misstep by LOL which would surely vault the Gunfighters to the head of the poll.

The Kings hold the 3rd position by the skin of their teeth as the Dream continue their climb to the top. Angola held off the Bugeaters in an incredible 4th Q victory where they scored 21 points in the final 13 minutes.

That impressive victory sent them sailing past DD on the polls, who gave the Donkeys their weekly beating. The Dream plays an easy game this week while Djibouti faces a reeling but still dangerous ABD. The Blood Diamonds need a victory desperately to right the ship and would love nothing better than to beat DD. But DD is playing with a chip on their shoulder, and anything less than a 10 point win every week is unacceptable for them. An impressive win here could move them back up 1 or 2 spots on the poll.

Cairo finally got the respect they feel they have been lacking all year after a great victory over the Stallions. They solidified their spot in the poll while knocking off one of their hated rivals. But they better not let up this week as their opponent the Bombshells are on a run of their own. Babylon has defeated two well respected teams in a row, and would love to add another feather to their cap this week.

The Peacekeepers did not rest on their laurels after making the Top 10 last week, they continued to do what they have done all year...win. This team may have been overlooked a bit at the start by the 'experts', but no longer.

The same can be said for the Spider Monkeez. They forced their way into the poll this week by beating a very solid Rhino squad. But they will be facing another top 10 team today in the Royal Knights. This game not only has major importance for the standings, but both teams are also fighting for their right to stay on the poll next week. It will be one to watch.

Ok that's it for today. Good Luck everybody, and hopefully I used up all of my bad luck yesterday and my Birds win today.

See ya Tomorrow.
