Wow thats a weird formula. My team has not won a game yet and some how we are rated very high. There are also CPU teams rated higher than som good teams.

WTF? a 0-4 team above the moose? you need a new formula

i like the top 5 in zeta.....any of those teams could beat each other on a good day

I have a "new formula."

Let me be clear: I think this RPI formula is crap, but it's what was used in this league last season, so that's what I've used here. Consider it the Old Country Buffet of RPI formulas -- the older teams are comfortable with it and it's easier to digest.

So let me be clear on this....Torpedo beats Salzburg (a CPU team) by the score of 174-7 and iue5 Acolytes by a score of 159-0....and your "formula" has Torpedo there comfortably between both of them, with no score for offense? And you post this as if it's just the numbers talking, and are just relying on this crazy formula?

Myself, personally, would never attach my name to garbage like this, as it doesn't say alot for the formula or those relying on it.

First i wanna say hello in that League! My Team are the Beers. That Formula is very crazy. An CPU team on the 10th Place?! Thats really crazy man

It's interesting, if a bit odd the way the results have come out. I mean, we are down the bottom of Zeta I would think, but below 3 0-4 teams does look a bit off. Be interesting to see where we end up after the week 5 games and during the rest of the season. Makes for interesting debate if nothing else.

it should be "part" of a power poll to create seperation
in very close teams.....not the power poll itself

I'll buy the idea of needing to beat more than scrubs to get respect...well, unless of course that formula places the scrub ahead of a real team.

And Sour, with all due respect, getting an explanation about how that rating happened would be the approximate equivalent of getting an explanation of why some computer model would put the Lions ahead of the Steelers; I'm sure it will sound all nice and fancy, and have lots of syllables, but it won't be worth spit because it is wrong.

absolutely...i wasnt defending it...merely pointing out that it's basically just crap...and with all power rankings s basically just a way to annoy people
