Taking nothing away from Tilburg (they played a great game and stomped us) but we had glitches left and right. FGs not called when they were supposed to be (even when we put in the parameters into the "Test Offensive AI" after the game and it says it will kick a FG), formations we never had implemented being used. This was very unlike any game that we've played. Of course, GLB going up and down this afternoon isn't helping us figure out what happened.

Again, Tilburg played a great game today so I mean to not take anything away from them. Just noting that we also experienced some AI glitches.

I hope we get promoted this season because I don't want to face the Evil Monkeys next year when they get a little little closer in level.

We had the same problem against Newcastle.

4th and 2.5 on their 6 yard line, we should have kicked the FG. We go for it, we get 2.5 yards, but the game turns the ball over on downs anyway.

They then have a 99 yard something drive to win the game by 1 point.

It will not happen again.

GG Bootleggers.

For some reason our kicker was attempting from 58 today. Not once, but 3 times and it's not set up to be trying from that range at all. Not sure what happened, but thankfully it didn't cost us this time.

Was in an AI setting/goof on your part? We're a bit baffled as we didn't touch our offensive AI since the game was simmed. And when we saw two 1st qtr 4th downs in FG range and us going for it we immediately went into the "Test Offensive AI" area and it says that the input match is one with only 1 output - a FG. We made sure the play labeled FG was indeed a FG play. It is. So we're not sure how to rectify this for next game.

Situation
1st qtr, 323 seconds to go, opponents 15.5 yardline, 4th down and 3 trailing by 7 points.

Matching Input
Input Named: 4th - FG Range

Possible Outputs
100% FG (field_goal)

Situation
First Quarter - 51 seconds remaining - Opponents 25 - Fourth Down - 4 yards - Trailing by 7 points

Matching Input
Input Named: 4th - FG Range

Possible Outputs
100% FG (field_goal)

Tillburg piled it on us in the 2nd half so in no way am I claiming that this was the difference. But I am trying to figure out how to fix this so it doesn't happen again this season.

That one sucks for you guys. My team lost because of a similar error back in Season 4 (we actually went for it instead of punting late in the 4th quarter, tie game, from about our 20 yard line - Needless to say, we set them up with an easy FG for the win). It is tough to lose due to AI error, but at least you found it now instead of in the playoffs.

Gz Judah. At first I thought we were going to run away with it at first but alas it wasn't meant to be.

The AI errors have continued to plague us in each game this season. I have actually sent the information to a moderator (Nixx) but no solution has been provided. Some have happened on 4th down in obvious punting situations and some have happened by calling completely different formations and plays than we have set in AI for.

Nixx was able to offer some possible explanations, but couldn't offer anything concrete. We weren't going to win any games, but each time this happened we were in a close game only to give away either 3 or 7 points due to going for it on 4th down at our 15 or 20 yard line.

Nixx told me that if ANY of your players are using creative route running, it could possibly affect play calling and/or formations. Again, nothing concrete here, just what he suggested. Also if you have anyone playing out of position, you could get a change.

I really thought this was an isolated problem that we were having, but it seems to be a problem across the board. Now I can tell our players what has been happening. I've tried to tell our players that the AI is having glitches, but they haven't believed me....

Yea great game -- I was a bit lazy going into this one and didn't really get a chance to look beyond the matchup screen -- you guys held even for the first half and had us worried -- had your levels been closer to ours it probably would have been a close one or worse for us

Funny you should say that about FGs -- I've had a bunch of times where I thought we should be going for the FG in the last 2 games but we punted instead -- we generally kick once the LOS is within the 33, but have been punting from there and closer -- I thought it was my fault after reworking the AI earlier but I guess it might have not been my fault after all

Come to think of it, my offense didn't really run the way I thought it would either, I was wondering if my QB was over-riding some of my settings based on coverage, etc., the pass run mix didn't seem quite right either but I guess it was just the fact that the AI wasn't working

You guys stomped us good in the 2nd half glitch or no glitch. Just a tad annoying that our team decided to not go for FGs on their own. That darn players' union

*sigh* I still wish we would have been held back in A for one more season. We just don't have the levels now to compete with some of you big bullies in AA. But we'll always try our best. After we picked our teeth off the field we did learn some things from the game.
