My spreadsheet is fucked. Fucked frankly. So I installed that team rankings greasemonkey thing. I've got a little spare time at work, so I figure I'll post the results.

Top Ranked Offenses:
1. Kingdom of Congo Dirty Apes
2. Barbary Coast Pirates
3. StingTalk Yellow Jackets
4. Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas
5. Ghana Woopyoass

Top Ranked Defenses
1. Barbary Coast Pirates
2. Rwanda Headhunters
3. Kingdom of Congo Dirty Apes
4. West Nile Virus
5. Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas

Based on this I would assume:
1. Barbary Coast Pirates
2. Kingdom of Congo Dirty Apes
3. Swaziland Southern Brown Mambas

Of course we still have a lot of schedule left in this season and obviously this doesn't take strength of schedule into consideration.

On a side note, the Apes have the highest ranking Special Teams unit. WOOP WOOP!

Seeing West Nile in the top 5 in defense just really surprises me,

WNV top defense? WTF? if anything i would have thought we would have one of the top offense. this is a shocker from where we were 2 seasons ago.

West Nile has the #6 Offense.

I bolded the important part. BCP hasn't had too rough of a schedule so far. Especially after playing a bunch of level 2's today.

I dont think he's taking into account who we've played though. We have played 3 pretty good teams to start off the season. One of them just knocked off Kenya, too.


EDIT: Can you take SOS into account and see what it is then?

The power rankings do not inclue schedule so it will even out more towards half way through

If I had used a different spreadsheet at the start of the season, it would be all about strength of schedule, but it wouldnt take statistics into account. Since my spreadsheet got fucked, for some reason, I'm kinda basing everything off of current standings and stats. It always evens out towards midseason. Usually around week 6 or 7 the top ranked teams stay top ranked for the remainder of the season.

I like doing it mechanically off spreadsheets but its pretty much too much work to justify catching up with a different version of the excel file at this point.

reign has taken a dive also but we just had a bit of tweaking to do is all

It's nice to see Rwanda in the top 5 in defensive statistics. I hope we are able to continue the good play from our defense. We haven't played any of the big boys yet, but we will soon enough.

BTW Flu, thanks for putting out some type of rankings. These things are always fun to discuss or disagree with.
