A level 40 TE that roasted my safeties, yet still has the strength and blocking to block both my lvl 41 DE and lvl 40 LB... Man! However do you do it????

GG Gabon! Glad we were at least able to defeat that 116-19 prediction...

lol... TE's are on the rise this season. Last season they sucked for the most part in the receiving department.

It is the year of the TE, duh. Ever since Bort implemented the changes that somewhat nerfed the run game. (By having LBs take a step toward the line of scrimmage at the snap to read the off tackle/ inside run, but leaving themselves vulnerable to a quick TE who they cant catch up with)

Don't forget the receiving HB's. Blitz the MLB and nobody will cover him!

Which is one reason why coverage is retarded. We should be able to designate if we want someone to cover the HB, or if we don't blitz the LOLB, he or the SS should cover them on the strong side of the field and the ROLB(1st option) or the MLB(2nd) on the weak side of the field.

And this has been going on for many seasons. Surely if the MLB blitz's the SS should pick up the TE and the LOLB should pick up the HB, instead they both cover the TE which is bs!

Yeah, considering this is Season 7, you'd think this would have been fixed.

The problem is poor LB builds and speed DE's. Quite a few LB's and DE's only have strength soft capped, which many TE's do as well. As far as the speed goes the LB is probably playing in looser/medium coverage and some how managed to spread his points out thin enough that the TE was a few notches faster. I think the TE's build is just better (or equal in terms of blocking) in both situations.

how does having super fast agile LB's make them bad at covering TE's?

Where did I say they were "super fast agile"? Do you know something I dont? Care to show me their builds?

What I was saying is the DE and LB's both probably just have strength soft capped as does the TE (hence an equal matchup blocking wise) and the LB's are probably using one of the looser coverage tactics in combination with relitively balanced builds while the TE has enough into speed that he's able to get open.

Im guessing...
TE= ~50 strength, ~80 speed, ~65 agility, ~50 vision
LB= ~50 strength, ~70 speed, ~60 agility, ~50 vision, ~50 tackling (balanced)
DE= ~50-60 strength, ~70 speed, ~80 agility, ~50 tackling (agility build)

Assuming that this is atleast somewhat accurate I can understand how the TE would be able to do what he did in both situation (granted blocking both is a bit of a head scratcher, simple body position I guess)

LOL, if your level 40 TE only has 70 speed then you are in serious trouble anyway.

Do these Dog guys have reading comprehension issues?

A level 40 TE should be well above 70 but thats irrelevent to this discussion. Im not sure why you and jsully cant comprehend what im saying but im pointing out that its the LB who probably is lacking in the speed area in comparison to the TE. The DE doesnt come into the picture on the passing play so the only issue there was the he was blocked be the TE, so hence they must of similar strengths (and whatever blocking the TE has offsets the SA's for the DE).
