As one of the lucky (sarcastic) owners to get a team in the APL day 1.....I find it very funny how every season we get some AAA team coming up talking trash.....There have been many exceptions...TLGOT- No trash talk, just results....Somalia Pirates...UN Peacekeepers...Sierra Leone Stallions...Ghana Buffalos....Buckeye Nation....Gold Coast Corsairs....Congo Cripplers....Cleveland Bombers No trash talk just great competition.

So why do the Fight Clubs, the DD's, and the BBE's need to always talk so stupid? FC we beat, they quit....DD you might beat us, but there is no way in hell you win the APL, so STFU! Until you have players who will stick by you for 4 plus seasons winning and losing then come talk to me.....You guys have had it easy, you won your A AA or AAA, and I give you credit...but I also give teams like myself, Babylon, Cairo credit for staying in the Pro's for so long with never having a glimpse of winning the whole thing....So you fly by night teams just shut your trap and play hard.

Good post. The Kings have won and been promoted up from AA when Africa was first conceived by the Bort. We've had the incentive of trophies and new leagues to keep us motivated, although at times its had its frustrations as well. I would like to add that the Kings did not arrive talking trash in Africa Pro. We lost in AAA#2 conference championship, and were promoted regardless, so we were honored to be here, and hoped to be competitive. We still strive for that today, to prove that we deserve and are supposed to be here. We have too much respect for the existing teams and for those who have climbed the ladder to talk trash to anyone here. I salute your dedication for persevering these many seasons when other teams capitulated. I also am proud of teams that fought there way up here. There are so many class act, and competitive teams here in APL!

Again I know the players of LOL, and TLGOT, probably could care less about me...but when the ABD wins, I am happy for my players...when we lose I take all the blame personally.....I came to the APL because I wanted a clean slate to battle the best of the best starting from scratch....I have whinned in the past about farm systems, drafts, etc. Because I did everything with only my GM Lorenzo (I have many GM's listed only for the hope we win an extra trophy for them)...But now I am most proud with the fact that we survived the Pro's for this many seasons.....it is not easy with a fan support of 100 14 and 0.....We don't have the cash like so many AAA great teams have from winning...I don't want anyone to feel sorry(I know you guys don't ) I guess it is something I have to get used to every season...The trash talking from new teams...I do salute the teams that come here, feel honored and compete....I didn't list any Lion teams, because I don't focus on that conference, but the Kings have all of my respect....I said from day 1 the ABD will be in the APL, as long as we don't get demoted...I will never quit on the game, or my teammates.....Anyways, I will leave you with this...when I broke my ankle, a lot of the people who I thought didn't like me said good wishes, and that meant a lot to me. http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1466003

Vegas - I've been less vocal than you on the boards but DeS is in pretty much the same position as ABD. I got in APL by the luck of the draw. I wasn't really prepared to try to win in the first season and hoped to build over time. I wanted a team that could win and lose together and didn't have a mercenary feel to it. Once I realized that APL was going to be tough I began working to build a winner because I didn't want to get relegated and I didn't want to waste the time of my GMs and players. I want them to feel good being a part of it.

I know that its possible to win through slow-building. I'm involved with a few slow-builds that will be among the elite teams in short order. But as for DeS we're in this for the long-haul and we're going to keep building bit by bit each season until we're among the best.

Here's a salute to the teams that have scrapped through the long haul to make APL competitive and largely free of ass-clowns.

STFU, trash talk is what makes this game interesting. If you haven't noticed, we have by far the worst Pro forums in the game. If it wasn't for DD talking trash right now, the posts would be cut in half. It's the damn internet, if you can't handle jackasses talking shit, don't read it.

Also, wtf is this statement? All of our team members have been together since season 1 and we have had seasons where we went 16-0 and get upset in the play-offs, We went 0-16 our first season and we by far haven't won championships or had it easy with our teams. You can stop comparing us to FC, we are not going anywhere, win or lose. This is basically your only team you will ever get to Pro so I see that you don't understand shit talk, but go look at all the other Pro forums and check out the shit talk.

You act like we don't have other teams that we have been involved with much longer than DD and stuck together through wins and losses. My other main team, the Pimps, who I used to own had i think two undefeated seasons only to lose in the playoffs both seasons yet we stuck together, made it to the Pros and won our conference, but came short in winning the whole thing. Trust us, we know what it is like to lose and when we lose in APL it's going to be like any other loss. We aren't expecting to go undefeated. We've said that all along, but watch and see when we do lose everyone will come out from hiding ripping on us. We don't care. At least we know we've got people's attention. It's an internet game, we have fun with it. Sorry if we are just trying to make this place more exciting.

No need to explain anything guys. There's 3 ways to take the shit-talking. You can either join in on it, ignore it, or take it personally and get all offended. You know the saying, fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

I'm just laying back in the weeds waiting to strike in this forum...It would help if we could win a damn game! I'm on the verge of firing our OC and DC (ME), if we don't win today!

I don't know could be just me....But I thought our forums were pretty intersting before DD BBE or FC ever enter the APL....But you are right Hokie I have 3 options....So, I will lean towrds option....I speak what I feel and listen to others.
