Rocky Mountain Gladiators vs. Saipan Fighters 27-26

Saipan Fighters I think proved something today. Even in their third loss of the season, they showed that they are determined to beat the odds and make the playoffs. Steve Berlin misses another FG on the season and a extra point that might have put the game into overtime, so the Fighters lose two heart breakers in a row. We think comicfanman needs to pull the reigns in on this guy. Berlin is the playboy on the team and is spending to much time out on the town. The defense had a little bit of a let down as they were unable to pressure Santana Miller at all. No hurries and no sacks led to Miller having three passing touch downs and a second win for the Gladiators. Saipan has some heavy thinking to do with the roster, the game plans, and the season as they look at facing one of the toughest teams in the league next game, the Portland Rain and the bad thing is they are going to be in THE VALLEY facing the number one offense, the number one passing attack, the number two running attack, the number one defense and the number one return squad in AAA # 1. Looks to be another gloomy day, what is going to happen in Saipan if they end up 0-4 to start season 7? Stay tuned...

Go Fighters! We're pulling for ya (although I also consider Portland a Friend of Samoa).

Saipan Fighter fans welcome to an inspirational evening post. Your Fighters seem to have the wheels greased and are moving in the right direction. After heading to what seemed to be another dismal season the Fighters have regrouped and pulled off two victories in a row. Granted The Four Horsemen's owner/coach is not very experienced and I am sure coach CPU will be headed down the road after the season. El Fuego wanted to prove that they were for real and were determined to show Saipan had no right invading the AAA # 1 League. Unfortunately for them the Fighters had a lot more to prove. With only 2 wins in the last 21 games the Fighters had enough and decided they were really going to come together as a team and show what they are really made of. A team with a great combination of talent trying to work like a finely oiled machine. Everyone in the Oceania AAA # 1 League and the Oceania Pro League has seen the talent here and have been wondering when they would finally unleash the beast. Today Saipan fans was the day.

Tommy Tebow put up almost another perfect game and has an awesome rating of 137.8 on the season. His partner in crime is no slouch as teams have seen as Franklin Roosevelt has a 95.7 rating on the season. Of course they would not be where they are without the superb receiving crew.

The Fighters have also found something this season they have not had since the beginning and that is a running game. Bobo Jenks has put a spark into the run game and even Russell Brown is running with good numbers for a change. Bobo is averaging over 8 yards a carry and Brown is over 6 yards a carry.

Defensively the Fighters are hanging in with the competition. The defense is a great crew of long time seasoned Fighters veterans and some new faces that have brought a great competition among the players. For the first time in a long time there has been no fighting in the locker rooms or on the sidelines between players.

With a new day finally here and a back to back victory, which has not happened since season 5. Will the new days of winning continue? Well Saipan and Oceania fans as always stay tuned....

Well my liver is pretty used up, anyone you have on your team looking to part ways with one, other than that my internals are fine.

Sorry we have been away Saipan Fighters fans. We have been trying to investigate on the down low what is going on in Saipan. Ray Finklesteinsburg has a FOR SALE sign in front of the Stadium and practice facilities. It is a sad day in Saipan, so we have got all the details right now. It looks like season eight we will see new ownership, new roster, new team name and new mascot. Cheese McMasters has pulled out all the stops and is paying a huge price to take over as owner/GM of the team. McMasters is currently working out contracts with current members and has some new talent he is bringing in for season eight. The Fighters are also losing there name and mascot and it looks like we will be introducing the Saipan Sharks in season eight.

With 12 days left in comicfanman's contract with GLB as owner it looks like he is off to retirement. It seems very strange after all the hard work of building the right personnel for the Fighters and finally getting a competitive team together that the plug will be pulled. But we have seen plenty of owners in GLB give up their teams to move on to less stressful environments. So where is comicfanman headed and what will become of the Saipan Fighters?

STAY TUNED....
