I don't need spiffy write-ups.... I mean, they help but...

Nah. What is nice right now is that we are getting a mix of different standings and write-ups. I like the predictions and such. Am the only one who doesn't know how the numbers are derived though?

I go through each of the categories and rank each team's position 1-16 (or less if there's a tie). I put a little bigger penalty on stats that hurt teams, like sacks, Ints, fumbles, TDs allowed, and use the actual number of those instead of the team's rank (that's why those 17 sacks hurt 6YP the first week). Those numbers are averaged and then total wins are subtracted and 1 point subtracted if the team won that week.

Come on it's very simple, follow along man

That isn't too complicated but it seems a little simplistic.

It might be nice to set up a sheet that values each of those 'events' and then assigns them to 'teams' . Each team has Rush/Pass D rating and O ratings, etc- much like the match-up.

But I guess that is better for comparison than over-all standings.

For a game that is basically a GIANT database, detailed stats are amazingly hard to get....

That's too much trouble man, lol

It is simplistic, I'm a simple person. The only thing I wish I could add was some sort of value for quality of opponent, but I still haven't found a good way to do that.

edit: I just thought of something, might add it in next ranking and see how it changes things.
