Alpha Rankings for Week 2

1 (1).... dax atlantique storms (1-0)
2 (2).... Geneva Plague (1-0)
3 (4).... Valletta Vikings (1-0)
4 (3).... New Orleans Bayou Bengals (0-1)
5 (5).... Stockholm Cows (1-0)
6 (6).... Austrian Eagles (1-0)
7 (7).... Rome Legion (1-0)
8 (9).... St. Petersburg Knights (1-0)
9 (8).... Glasgow Bravehearts (0-1)
10 (10).. South Yorkshire Aftershocks (1-0)
11 (11).. Copenhagen VooDoo (1-0)
12 (12).. Berlin Blaze (0-1)
13 (13).. Capri Elites (0-1)
14 (14).. Leipzig Lava Flow (0-1)
15 (15).. Madrid Strikers (0-1)
16 (16).. Marseille Hitmen (1-0)

not much movement in the rankings after the first week: the Knights moved past the Bravehearts - the week 11 matchup between these teams could decide who's still playing and who'll be sitting at home come playoff time.
the Bengals slipped from 3 to 4 and the reason is obvious - they embarrassed our conference by losing to the Hounds from Zeta - don't disappoint our conference ever again like that!

Alpha Games of the Week

#5 Stockholm Cows (1-0) vs. #2 Geneva Plague (1-0)
the Cows brought in lots of new players, mostly owned by a handful of managers, and suddenly went from the worst team in the league to one of the best, at least according to the players' levels. The Plague have started strong into the new season and manhandled the Drunken Irish. if Stockholm can put up a fight no-one will overlook them for the rest of the season but I still prefer Geneva.

My prediction: Geneva by 10

#7 Rome Legion (1-0) vs. #4 New Orleans Bayou Bengals (0-1)
this should be a great game to watch! Rome is coming off an easy win against gutted Trondheim while New Orleans (uhm, in which European country is that located again?) suffered a tough loss. I believe the Legion will feel the Bengal's wrath but a Rome win would bring some movement into the upper half of the rankings.

My prediction: New Orleans by 8

Other Alpha Games (predicted winners are in bold)
Lava Flow vs Eagles
Hitmen vs. Storms
Blaze vs. Elites
Bravehearts vs. VooDoo
Knights vs. Aftershocks
Vikings vs. Strikers

I think our game with St.Petersburg will tell us were South York stands in this conference.
I'm glad Yakini has taken the time to do the rankings for Alpha.

yep, I was a bit surprised but not shocked at all when I see the result of that game - your team should be a playoff contender this season!

true! there are 31 teams from New Orleans (including CPU teams) and only 1 team from Orleans, also a CPU team, which strangely plays in USA BBB
