My thoughts on the teams in Alpha this season:
There are 10 teams in this league that the computers think is 54 overall, there are 5 more at 51, and one CPU punching bag. So at least the GLB polls thinks this league is very competitive, I think it will be too.

Dublin Devils - Season 6: 16-0 in Single A
Really solid looking team and ran thru single A last season, however with so many over 40 players, I would have expected them to be rated a little higher by the machine, I think they will be the first team to 57 in short order, all players currently on the team will be 40 by the playoffs except maybe 2 if they've already boosted. They have a totally full roster except at FB, but shouldn't be an issue. Last season they ran a pretty balanced offense and they have the weapons to do pretty much whatever they want. On defense their DE's look OK, but the inflated stats came on a more than a couple of very weak opponents, don't look for that to repeat, the days of 100+ sacks as a team are pretty much over the way this season's sim is looking. This is the favorite team heading into the season.

Vienna Danube River Raiders - Season 6: 7-9 in Double AA
This team showed some promise at the end of last season by beating a playoff team in week 16, they definitely have some high level players, but have some questions about the builds under there. The stadium will in no way, shape, of form bring in enough for level 40 equipment for the entire team, could cause some unrest in the locker room if the team can't turn it around and be a top team in this league. On offense, the starting QB has thrown double digit INT's every season his entire career and the starting HB is coming off his worst year since season 2, I'm sure he's not happy about that and we'll see if he can get back to form. On the defensive side, their heart and soul without a doubt the starting LOLB, Roman Taylor. He is coming off a Pro Bowl year and will have to continue to keep the pace up to hold his team in a lot of games. If an offense can contain him, they will have a good day. This is a middle of the road teams that could be a top team if a few bounces can go their way.

Dayton <-FnA-> - Season 6: 11-5 in Double AA
This is my team so of course there is no weakness and the team is solid. Notable changes are the addition of js2spare (former owner of the Nighthawks in this league) and Shamrockofgod (former owner of Dublin Boghoppers also of this league), we should be set to go on planning and tactics with these two former owners of successful teams.

Amsterdam Smokers - Season 6: 9-7 in Double AA
This team is a team I know well, we have been in the same leagues since season 3. Wyrebel has been busy this offseason after getting beat down going 0-5 to start last season, which he vows wouldn't happen again, we'll see about that. On offense they got back a major piece of the puzzle that went AWOL last season and that was HB T Riggins, he was a monster back in the day. After sitting out a season, can he regain his former form? And recently adding a good looking WR opposite of the great one they had, this team could be great on offense. On defense questions come up about their depth at DT, LB and safeties but have great players if they can hold it up for 60 sim minutes. And can the heart of their defense last season, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, keep it rolling into this season? If he can this defense could cause some fits up front. Overall an middle of the road team heading into this season, but could make some noise if they can get rolling.

Burnt Orange Rising - Season 6: 14-2 in Single A
This team went from the bottom of the barrel in the first few seasons in single A, but then got some GM's who knew what they were doing and turned this ship around. They done some good recruiting within the Burnt Orange Network and can now hold there own, can they do it here in Double A? I think they can beat a few teams, lose to a few teams and maybe finish just out of the playoffs. On offense they have a capable QB to lead the team with a great group of WR's that will be hard to cover on the outside. The running game has a great back and a good back, we'll see if they can continue to run in this league. On defense, while solid on the line, the middle looks weak with only 4 LB'ers on staff, and only having 6 DB's total on staff means teams will throw and throw often against them until they can find some bodies to fill the huge gaps they have. The season may turn into an ugly outing if they don't get that fixed. And they are in the same boat as the Raiders, their stadium isn't near big enough to support level 40 equipment, which could be big at the end of the season.

Canterbury Crimson Crusaders - Season 6: 16-0 in Single A
This team went from the Double AA kicking bag, to respectable in Single A, to dominate in Single A. I don't think they can dominate this league, as I also don't think anyone else can either. Thisisbad had endured some rough times as the owner but I commend his for sticking it out, as some other owners would and have just thrown the towel in after a 1-15 season 3 and getting regulated to a capped league where they held their own until some of the upper teir teams left, and then rolled thru the league. On offense they are solid top to bottom, they have a great QB and some good HB's and a stout O-line. The receivers maybe down a bit from the rest of the league, but that probably won't stop them. On defense, the middle of the line is deep, the outside might have a few hiccups here and there. The LB'ers look a little weak at depth but have enough to field a team. The stars of their defense are CB King Crab lll and CB Shutdown Miller, they will cause you trouble on the edges, but the talent drops off from there all the way down to a way outleveled CB and 2 weak looking SS's, and without a back-up FS. Mismatches on defense could spell trouble for this team but there are still a winning team and look for them in the playoffs.

London Avengers - Season 6: 10-6 in Double A
This is a team that will have trouble with level 40 equipment also but in better shape than some others. The Avengers beat some good teams last season, but then also lost to a few they probably shouldn't have. On offense, their QB isn't bad but isn't the best in the league. They HB's are a good combination for them, but up front they lack any depth at all, so the the HB's and QB will have to be quick to generate some offense. The receivers on this team are nonexistent and they will be is serious trouble is they don't find some soon. On defense the same issue as on the O-line, just don't have quality depth that could be detrimental to them stopping anyone. The DB field looks good for them and will hold a few people to minimal passing yards this season. If they don't fix the offense this team is not going to make the playoffs.

Rome Wolfpack - Season 6: 8-8 in Double AA
This was exactly midpack in this league last season, they were in every game accept 2 and losing some heartbreakers. They scored a lot of points but also gave up a lot of points. With all but one section done on the stadium they should be ok with equipment at level 40 but would be close if too many players hit 40 too soon. On offense the team is well rounded, except they don't have a back-up C. This team seems to run better than pass, but that could change this year as they have the offense to do both pretty well. On defense, they have a couple of suspect builds on the D-line and may be able to hold the running game in check. In the LB'er corp, Ryan Meyer will have to have another Pro Bowl year to assist some of the others become better at their position. The DB's situation is they have 4 quality CB's and only 3 safeties, so they should be able to match-up fairly well against the pass. Overall a good team, as most are in this league and will be somewhere around looking into the playffs.

Rusty Trombones - Season 6: 3-13 in Triple AAA
They couldn't compete in AAA last season but looks to match up well here in AA. They have an inflated roster and I'm wondering how they can keep everyone happy playing the likes of 8th on th LB chart or 4th on the TE chart. They have a lot of inactive tags right now but none are horrible except one GM who's pushing 2 weeks now. On offense they have enough players, the starters look good but some of the back-ups are questionable whether they can hold their own once on the field. They are running with 3 WR's but have 4 TE's, must be something new they are trying. On defense, for having so many players again they lack quality depth on the D-line, 7 players, 5 are below level 34 at this point. The LB corp is obviously their strong suit and will have to carry the D this season if no changes are made. The DB's are average at best and probably a little over matched one on one. They might be able to win a few games, but if they don't shore up the few holes they have, it could be another long season.

Cardiff Dragons - Season 6: 13-3 in Double AA
This team was good last season and could be again this season. They didn't finish their stadium this past offseason, so level 40 equipment funds could come into question meaning the team wouldn't be as good as it could be. On offensive skill positions are great, QB and soem good WR's. The HB's as a group are average, but the real issue for them is the OT position, they only have 2 and will get beat late games if they don't find someone to back them up besides the G's. On defense their line looks good at the top but their is a huge drop off toward the bottom. The LB'ers look good but they only have 5 at this point, the CB quality doesn't look too much better and the safeties are average. I would say the defense will probably be the down fall of this team if that does happen, although ask the Smokers how it feels to only play with two OT's, and that isn't any fun for the HB's or QB's lining up behind them. This team could miss the playoffs this season.

Foy Destroyers - Season 6: 9-7 in Double AA
Last season this team looked impressive but didn't play up to their potential and it showed on the field, beating some quality teams while losing to some they shouldn't have. This team needs some direction and they could be great. On offense, they are returning one of the best QB's in the league with a 131 QB rating last season only throwing 5 picks, and with the WR crew they have should be able to continue to move the ball threw the air. The HB combo is good enough to run the ball when needed, but the question becomes can the O-line hold up and give the stars time or room to make plays? They will be seen. On defense while great on the edge of the D-line, the middle is suspect and will be tested often. The LB'ers are a good group and if used right they will hold there own in the center of the field. The CB's can shut down a passing game and the safeties are stout. Overall I like the looks of this team, we'll see how they play together.

Lisbon Goons - Season 6: 14-2 in Single A
One of the worst stadiums in the league and unless they sell off some high level players, hardly anyone should be getting level 40 equipment, the team can only generate, by my calculations, about $23 million for the year minus $6.7 million in salary and that only leaves $16 million for equipment, or about 10 players full gear and none left for construction next offseason not even counting any 32 equipment that is left. Moving to the football side, on offense they have good skill positions, but the O-line as a whole will have its hands full against some of the D-lines in this league. They will get some big plays through the air, but running could be a chore. Over on defense the D-line is isn't going to create much pressure as even a well built 31 isn't going to rule the 40+ O-linemen in this league. The LB'ers are decent and can make some plays some lack quality depth. The CB's are great but overpaid, Freaky Cee is the great one, with 168 PD's last season don't expect to complete a pass against him. The safeties are a other strong group for this team and should keep the big plays to a minimum. One agent controls the 4 highest paid players on this team, I would do something about that but that's just me, and all was there last season. This team will have trouble this season and doesn't look like a good season coming.

Paris Gloutons - Season 6: 7-9 in Double AA
This is another team that is behind in the stadium department, but better than some, but level 40 equipment will still be hard to complete and still save some for construction next season. On offense this team has the largest drop off in talent from the starters to the back-ups, in some cases 12 levels, at WR its 15. This could prove costly going through the season. However the starters are solid and capable of putting up some points with the great QB that have. On defense they are about the same depth wise as the offense except at DE, where they have 4 level 40's, and they are the heart of this defense, if they can harass the opposing QB's enough, it could make up for other shortcomings. The LB'er are an average group that can play ball. The CB's are below average in my book, and will have their hands full with some of the WR in this league. And the safeties are well below league average also. It could be a long season for Paris if the current players have already boosted or they can't recruit better talent into the team.

Manchester Drunken Monkeys - Season 6: 15-1 in Single A
This team rolled through Single A ball last season but got bounced in Rd 2 of the playoffs, but that wouldn't happen this season. They are dealing with a cluster of inactivity and that doesn't bode well when game planning. On offense they are completely average, no standout stars, no big time play makers. The offense stats from last season don't count as most of the teams they played were well below them. With the current O-line expect the QB and running game see a lot of plays from their ass in the backfield. On defense the line drops in talent from the top to bottom and really be worked hard to get any penetration at all against some of the better O-lines. The LB'ers are well below average and their big man isn't that big. The heart of this defense if they have one is the CB position, this is their deepest and should hold opponents from just blowing them up threw the air. The safeties are average and can get the job done, but still will have some issues. Wouldn't make the playoffs this season without major changes.

Arlington Avalanche - Season 6: 13-3 in Single A
The worst stadium in the league is found here named Sector 7 Stadium. As the team with the lowest overall levels as a team, the most CPU's for a non-CPU owned team and the most inactives makes this team the league leader in getting demoted back to Single A after just one season in AA. On offense their lone bright spot is the QB-TE connection, but they don't try to get him the ball as they say but with 400 receptions in 3 seasons says otherwise, but with 3 CPU players they really don't have a chance to get him the ball. On defense, they have exactly 14 players with 3 CPU's. Opposing teams will score and score often if that can't get a major overhaul done before to long. This team is also the leading candidate to be sold before the end of the season.

This concludes my Alpha outlook. Hope you enjoy reading it.

Looks good Lvl's and money aren't everything as you can tell by the Wilds dismantling of both the top 2 teams you have in Alpha.

BTW is there going to be a Zeta one?
