Inter conference games are here. Time to prove to Zeta who the real men are in this league.
Since I'm the owner of the Merkins, we're first up
Merkins Vs Micronesia-- Micro won it all last season, and have a very solid squad. Unfortunately for them they don't have much of a passing game, just a badass running game. Merkins of last season were just the opposite, but have added a lot of depth at all positions and some better players throughout. Watch for the Merkins to take this one 35-28
Port Moresby Tigersharks Vs Hawaii Islanders-- Port Moresby has a great team with some good depth and game planning. Hawaii Islanders, I don't know much about but they don't have the levels to keep up with Port Moresby either. Look for the Tigersharks to go up early and dominate this game. I'm guessing somewhere around 50-20
Charlie's Tomatocans VS. Cleveland Dawgpound-- This game could go either way, but that O line the Dawgpound has is very impressive. I think Zeta will squeeze this one out in a hard fought 28-21 game.
Melbourne Predators Vs. Florida Winners-- Don't know anything about either of these teams, but from looking at it Melbourne will come away with an easy victory
Gold Coast Vipers Vs Fiji Ventures--Fiji has a VERY nice team, and Gold Coast still has CPU players on there.... No contest for Fiji with the blow out victory so they can flex their muscles in game 1
Danish Contract Killers Vs. Talon Bay Privateers-- WTF happened to the Privateers? They were good 2 season ago and now they've taken a step completely backwards. Easy victory for the Contract Killers
Son of Ares Vs Hellcats-- Son of Ares look a little weak on the defensive side of the house, but Hellcats don't look all that much more impressive. Better gameplanning wins. I think this game will be a shootout that comes down to the final minutes of the game.
Sidney Vicious Vs Norfolk Knights-- This is another tough one to call since I know nothing about either team. They both look pretty even and I think it'll come down to game plans.
Wagga Waves Vs Hawaii Phoenixes-- Hawaii has no chance here. Wagga will score at will and Hawaii will struggle to move the ball at all. Big game for Wagga, embarassing for Hindo and the Phoenixes, lets just hope they can be reborn like legend tells it.
Guam Tigers Vs Gridiron Gladiators-- Just like the Waves, Guam will score at will and the Gladiators will be trying all of the trick plays they can think of just to get on the board. Guam dominates in this game
Oahu Waves Vs Sydney Sharks-- Two of the lower leveled teams in the league who I know nothing about. Gameplanning will win this game
Taylor Bulldogs Vs Auckland Titans-- Taylor will destroy Auckland. TenTitans must be busy though because I've not seen him on the boards chatting it up. Watch for Taylor to go up quick and run away with this game
Wollongodinadong Hammers Vs our other Guam-- Hammers are a solid team with a solid game plan, Our other Guam I know nothing about, so I'm going to go ahead and favor the Hammers
Sack Sabbath Vs Trilla Titans-- Sabbath gets moved to Zeta this season, and gets to play an Old Alpha rivalry for game 1. Both teams know a lot about eachother and are pretty evenly matched. It just depends on which Sack Sabbath shows up... if it's the one I've been pumping up for the last 2 seasons look for Sabbath to come away with the W. However, if it's the team that has disappointed me every season Trill comes away with a big W here.
Flaming Mcnuggets Vs Samoa Flying Foxes-- Mcnuggets won it all last season for A2, but the Foxes won it all for A2, two seasons ago. I think the Foxes have the edge of higher levels here and take a W here and crush the Mcnuggets High they've been on all offseason.
I'm GLAD there is only 1 interconference game, I'll only be doing Alpha predictions from now on SHEESH.
