Well, this came up in Suggestions and i think we could do this unofficially. have one of the more active posters talk to mods about a sticky or things like that.

- moderating the forums
- arbitrating disagreements
- collaborating with admins on who needs to be relegated/delegated
- generally filling a leadership chasm that exists in a lot of leagues

Basically this "GM" would be responsible for keeping the forums active, trying to work things out between players and owners(if wanted), talkin to mods about a sticky, and being a leader by example(posting arguements where a valid point is brought up, not just your idea fucking sucks)

I agree and think this is a great idea. I notice in other forums the people are way more active. I can go a week at a time on this board and not miss much at all.

to be fair, this board has gotten a lot less active as most of the original league got promoted, and most of the rest of the league went CPU.

Leaving poor L'vov down in a dead league because we keep getting nudged out of the playoffs first round.

I like this idea! I think all forums should have one or two for this.

I'll try to be more active here, myself. I got too many irons in the fire, I think. too many players on too many teams *grin* This forum is one of the few I read, though, since I OC for the Fremen. They're workin their little butts off, they'll try to give folks a game this season.

L'Vov is dang tough. dont lose heart, man. you'll be there for sure after this season. silly Sim dont do what you expect, sometimes. well, most times. heh heh. at least for me.

I brought this up because ever since i got a player in this league, this is the only league forum i read. Hence why i got a player into this league so i could stay here and get you guys active. I for one would be all for doing this. I mean if we can get all the owners to agree on someone or get a majority rule i or whoever can create a private forum for owners of EEA6 teams so we can disscuss player dealings and such. Maybe get a mod to oversee the leaof EEA6 and have the EEA6 leader report to them.

If we want to hold vote ins do so now and i can edit the OP.

No voting for yourself. I think this would be a step in the right direction for the game and this way we can handle things on our own. Would say the owner of a team cannot be the Leader of the league as this wouldnt be fair for player dealings.

Would be a good idea Sharpie, and I appreciate your loyalty to this board, but I just don't see it happening here. Like my colleague said, this league mostly sucks now with all the CPUs and first-time owners dealing with restructuring.

Thats wher ei think it would be benifical to new owners. It would keep the boards active and they could have a "head" GM to go to for advice on levels to bring in or what they need help to. I think it would be better for new owners to be active in the forums even if its asking questions and things like that.

It is a great idea and I am all for it. However I was not that active in here before and I think the Blizzards will be up for promotion one way or the other, so I won´t accept any nomination if someone had thought of that. Maybe the owners of Dubrovnik, Red Sea or Berlin would be good choices as they are in EEA6 for some time now and will likely stay there as well. Just a thought on my behalf...

I agree that it's worth trying and that any nominee needs to be from a team that's likely to be around for a while...

edit: I HOPE this implies enough that L'vov should be exempt.

the owner of the Fremen doesnt frequent this board. I'd stand in for him, if GMs are allowed. I'm not sure who I should nominate at this point, if the loudest voices are gonna be gone next season

on a sidetrack note, L'Vov is our next opponent. I'm hopin to score on them. *grin*

i would shy away from owners only because they potentially would be able to favor their side in a story. If we want, we could set up a league front office type thing.

It would have to be people that would do this even after they leave the league. So if your a top dog in the league, and would continue to frequent these boards like i do, then sign up.
