Smash and Dash, Thunder and Lightning and now the dynamic two back set from deep down in the heart of Africa....."Bruiser and Cruiser" In an attempt to rip the trophy out of the defending champions hands this season, Cape Verde Kings owner Dlee went out and found a dynamic force by the name of Train Wreck to compliment his speed back Darshan Armani.
In the past Cape Verde has had the name of a team that was pass first with a fast and agile receiving corp and a back that was as quick as a woman taking her shert off for a "Girls gone wild" cameraman. A softer team, well things have changed!
By wearing down defenses with there bruiser Train Wreck, Cape Verde will bring a new dimension to this offense..smash mouth football! Pair that up with a dynamic passing attack, and a star studded defense, this team is making a name for itself!
"I am happy to share a backfield with someone who gives a better chance of a trophy, I just want to win" Armani said after the first scrimmage when asked if he was happy with sharing carries, or felt betrayed after being promised the rock more this season. "Our owner, will never betray a player on this roster, a move is never maken until discussed with the powers that be, and finally the player or players involved, thats why we stick together, and thats why my boss has been owner of year for two seasons straight!" Armani then followed with.."stats are for fags..trophies are for winners"
We were able to catch up with train wreck just after that. "Darshan is the guy, my bruising style just makes it easier for him, I wear them down, and he makes them chase him and his 4.2 40 speed!" Winning is our #1 priority, not who gets more carries or more td's" said Wreck.
After losing in the second round of the playoffs in their first APL season, teams began to realize that with the great ownership of Dlee and his free spending, combined with his go to guy GM Randey, and a team full of unselfish, just want to win players, this team is a force to reckin with and most our just avoiding!
After there first scrimmage game, a blow out of an elephant league playoff team, it shows that the lion conf. is by far the stronger of the two, and between cape verde and last years playoff teams returning, if not to the kings, the APL trophy should stay with in the Lion Conference!
