Warrior General Games

This is the interconference week, so should be able to say a lot about if Zeta really has balanced the league's power out, or if it will be another year of Alpha dominance.

Burlington Blue Devils at Chambersburg Trojans
-Preview: Evenly matched, should be a good game. Burlington isn't a known quantity at this point. Both played well enough to win their first scrims, Chambersburg however didn't. I'm flipping a coin and going with Burlington here.
-Prediction: Burlington 37-21

Stockholm Lions at Cologne Ghosts
-Preview: I don't think the new and improved Lions have the firepower on defense to stop Cologne. Upsets are always possible though when Cologne is concerned.
-Prediction: Cologne 51-21

Atlanta 404 at Stockholm Dynamites
-Preview: Clearly the game of the week. Both championship contenders draw each other in week one, no time is wasted before this bloodbath. I think Stockholm has the better team, but Atlanta's chemistry might tip the scales toward their side.
-Prediction: Stockholm 27-24

Hamburg Vipers at Lyon Winemakers
-Preview: Blowout is the forecast.
-Prediction: Lyon 77-7

Birmingham Polipocs at Liverpool SEA Fusion
-Preview: another evenly matched game. I don't trust Birmingham until they show me they can win vs. decent teams. Neither scrimmage they have played was against a quality opponent.
-Prediction: Liverpool 34-17

Helsinki Hitmen at Southhampton Shadows
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Helsinki 70-0

Glasgow Vultures at Denver Hounds
-Preview: Denver is going to try to work there way back into the league's elite with this one. The overall numbers are close but I think they will be misleading as to how the game will end up.
-Prediction: Denver 47-28

Berlin Blitz at Athens Devils
-Preview: Another awesome matchup for week one, good slate of games overall. Both teams have potent offenses, and defensive questions. This should be a very entertaining, high scoring game.
-Prediction: Berlin 54-45

Mannheim Spartans at Capeside Minutemen
-Preview: Two awful teams. Mannheim is less awful I think.
-Prediction: Mannheim 40-0

Gonadian Knights at Baden Bandits
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Baden 77-10

Reading Armed Centaurs at South Beach Sea Hawks
-Preview: Yet another closely matched game. I think its a tossup but South Beach has the stronger defense and higher chemistry.
-Prediction: South Beach 34-24

Norwich Nighthawks at Luxembourg Lightning Bolts
-Preview: Another tossup here, although I do think that Norwich has less holes.
-Prediction: Norwich 34-30

Middlesbrough Mayhem at The Fantasy Helmet Project
-Preview: Blowout.
-Prediction: Middlesbrough 63-7

Milan Eagles at Barcelona Dare Devils
-Preview: Chemistry and overall talent swing Barcelona's way in this one.
-Prediction: Barcelona 45-24

Barcelona Panthers at Dusseldorf Noobs
-Preview: I think this one doesn't look like its going to be close at all. Barcelona's offensive line has serious issues that will keep its defense on the field early and often.
-Prediction: Dusseldorf 35-10

Sexintown Rubbers at Flat Packed Monkey
-Preview: Messina has a new name, and a lot of CPU players. Sexintown had better win this one or they really can never be taken seriously.
-Prediction: Sexintown 47-0

i think berlin has a decent chance to put up serious points if they air it out a bit. your secondary doesnt really hold up as well as the rest of your d. it could go either way, it could be an offensive shootout or a defensive standoff. with so many teams different than they were last year, i really need to see how a real game goes before i can make even close accurate score predictions. i just think its fun to include a score prediction so i did it :-)

im glad you guys enjoy, ill try to see if i can find an hour or 2 this weekend to research and get game 2 picks in. if not ill be ready to go and back from my vacation for game 3.

Fair enough, and good points, I wont be here to see the game first hand tho (or my shiny new offensive game plan mu-ha-ha-ha) unfortunately I gotta put family before GLB

Sorta feel dissed by that comment. We played like crap early last season when we had no passing game, but I do believe we beat 2 teams last year that had overall +3 to us. Upgraded GMs, new owner, and upgraded roster...keep underestimating us.

Oh and a lot of us havent even boosted yet.
