How much of a penalty is there for playing a center at guard or tackle? I have 3 really good centers and want to get all of them as much PT as possible.

If your center has at least 55 agility and 40 speed(for OT) or at least 55 agility and 35 speed for Guard, then do it
if he doesnt then you will just be asking to have your qb sacked

Not necessarily true. It depends on level and how much blocking you have as well.

I played a C at ROT last season with less than 25 speed, but over 61 agility and over 80 blocking. While he would get beat every once in a while, he did better than ROT who had over 40 speed, slightly lower agility, and much less blocking.

obviously he did well
he had 61 agility and 80+ blocking
that is a well built player

One center has 90 strength, 75 blocking, 34 speed, and 52 agility

The other has 93 strength, 73 blocking, 20 speed, and 48 agility

Agility and speed could be a little higher for both of them, but I don't really think either would necessarily get burned.

What level?

My lvl 32 C now has 95 strength, 85 blocking, 68 agility, 28.5 speed. I'm still worried about him getting beat at ROT until I can get speed up to 40+. I decided to 3rd cap agility before putting points in speed because I'm still training speed. We may have to go run heavy or use TE to help block early in the season, although the extra step off the line may help.

I'd never put a player at OT without 35 speed. I wont recruit them, wont shift them from the inside of the line, etc. If you're going OOP, I'd want to see 40 speed / 60 agility minimum to make up for the penalty.

Confidence becomes an issue as well. If you start getting beat and your C never focused on confidence, your offense will be shot dead before the second half even starts.

same basic question: i've got a level 43 guard that is being moved to the OT position to provide needed depth. I'm currently training vision which i understand needs to be a bit higher for a tackle. any other suggestions. fyi, he is currently on a fairly balanced offense.

Strength:98.91
Blocking:70.84
Speed:51.53
Agility:59.87
Vision:32.38

Runningwithscissors:
Consider moving equipment off of strength and onto agility and blocking. 10 to blocking and 10 to agility should work well.
