Hey everyone,
I didn't want to post this any earlier than now since I didn't want to come off as stealing the spotlight from the playoffs and championship games. But before Day 40 comes to a close, I wanted to let you all know that the Death Valley Scorpions will be closing up shop this season.
I'm sure none of you will be too bummed, as we've consistently played under our level, and I haven't been one to post a ton in the forum. But I've been pretty much running everything myself on the Scorps since the team's inception, and I simply don't have the time for it anymore. I'd be lying if I didn't say that our inability to even get to the conference championship didn't have something to do with it, but the truth is that was just a small piece.
I enjoyed playing against you guys, even though we seemed to lose the big games pretty consistently. The camaraderie established with Marcy, Loch Ness, Wichita, Manchester, and Whitechapel made things fun. And I always loved to read Dreven's picks and projections.
But without a staff to take some of the burden off me, it's time to hang up the owner's hat and move on. I wish all of you the best of luck, and thank you for a fun ride.
One last thing before I go: go get 'em Manchester, Leavenworth, and Whitechapel! Keep the Zeta streak alive!
See y'all around.
