Flames and Garudas both appear to be making it to Pro next season. 4 teams in Pro are now CPU owned, and we both made it to our respective conference final. We may have a rematch of last years SEAAA#1 championship game.

GL to whoever advances to AAA and we hope to see you in Pro soon. Many worthy teams here.

Bort should just switch the AAA1 and AA1 teams, because it's obvious this league is better.

tnx, we actually have Garudas Vs flames again!!!(hopefully this time Garudas gets the title). what were the chances that the finals from AA1 from last season will be the final in AAA1 this season.

SE Asia AA#1 Championship - ]Krungthep Garudas 19-0 vs. Singapore Flames 17-2

Krungthep Garudas – How they got here:

Alpha Conference Championship Game

The Garudas kept the perfect season in tack with a hard fought 20-17 victory over the Mongolian Horde. After a scoreless first quarter, Madrak Ironhide hit Fenris Reaver over the middle for a 13 yard scoring strike and a 7-0 Krungthep lead early in the 2nd. Midway through the quarter, the Horde’s Danger OusTendancies forced a Donko von Punchstania fumble that was recovered by Angus Beefcake – setting Mongolia up at the Garudas 20 yard line. Five plays later, J. P. dove in from the three to tie the score at 7. Krungthep drove to the Horde 16 on the ensuing possession but had to settle for a 33 yard field goal with just under two minutes to go in the half. But Mongolia’s Taz Dingo hit Long Legzzz in stride up the right side for a 43 yard score with just 40 seconds left to go. And after Krungthep’s Buddy Buttlips came up short on a 55 yard field goal attempt, the Horde had the 14-10 halftime lead.

The Horde took the opening possession down the field but Senor Leg missed a 43 yard field goal so the lead stayed at 14-10. A three and out by the Garudas gave the ball right back to the Horde but on a 2nd and 9 from their own 35 yard line, Taz Dingo’s pass over the middle was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Krungthep’s Stim Violentlee, but the Garudas up 17-14. The rest of the 3rd quarter was a battle over field position until Mongolia’s SCRUBB MCRIGGS intercepted a Ekapob Ukritnukun pass near the Krungthep’s 20 yard line as the quarter came to a close. But when a 3rd and 7 pass fell incomplete, the Horde settled for a 26 yard field goal and a 17-17 tie early in the 4th quarter. Undaunted, Krungthep used an 8 minute, 14 play drive on the next possession to set Buddy Buttlips up for a 22 yard field goal and the 20-17 lead with just 4:49 left on the clock. The Horde drove to the Krungthep 47 with just under 2 minutes to play but a 3rd and 4 Taz Dingo pass fell incomplete. Mongolia decided to punt, downing the ball inside the 2 yard line. After a 2 yard Donko von Punchstania rush, and an incomplete pass, the Horde were one stop away from getting the ball back. But Ekapob Ukritnukun found Flapjack Doubledip open over the middle for a 12 yard gain and a first down. From there, the Garudas were able to run out the clock for the 20-17 win.

Singapore Flames – How they got here:

Zeta Conference Championship Game

The Flames drove down the field after the opening kickoff but the drive stalled at the Demons 20 yard line so they settled for a 37 yard field goal and a 3-0 lead. Bangkok answered on their first drive, getting a 16 yard Justgivea Yuengling pass to Forrest "The Flash" Gump for the go ahead TD, but the extra point was missed. On the Flames next drive, Jonny Cannonshow’s errant pass was intercepted but on the very next play, Singapore’s Shamus McCloud forced a fumble that was recovered by Dee Fence to get the Flames back on offense. On a 1st and goal from the two, RC Apodaca stretched to reach the goalline but the ball was fumbled into the endzone. Ghost ToThePost was “Johnny on the spot” for the Flames, recovering the ball for the go ahead touchdown.

Bangkok got an early 2nd quarter field goal to pull within 10-9. Three minutes later, Jonny Cannonshow found Roman Van Der Gun up the left side for a 20 yard scoring strike and a 17-9 Flames lead. Bangkok tried to answer, getting a 1st and goal from the 5, but 3 straight passes failed to find the endzone and they had to settle for another field goal. Singpore’s Celtic Raider took the ensuing kickoff back 56 yd return to set the Flame offense up in Demon territory once again. Six plays later, Tank Gore plunged in from inside the one to give Singapore a 24-12 halftime lead.

The Flames defense got a three and out to start the 2nd half and then, for all practical purposes, the game was over as Singapore put together a 9 play drive ending with another short Tank Gore TD plunge – Singapore 31, Demons 12. The Flames tacked on a 4th quarter field goal for the final margin of 34 to 12.

Prediction

Although a few teams have a legitimate case, hard to really argue that the cream hasn’t risen to the top. The Garudas have the perfect season on the line. They have the #1 ranked offense and #1 ranked defense in all of SE Asia AA#1. The Flames have won 14 in a row themselves and they are ranked 3rd in both total offense and total defense. Both teams passed a couple tough playoff tests. Krungthep turnovers still concern me, but that defense is simply studly. Tough to find any real weakness with Singapore, they are simply playing outstanding right now, if I had to name one then I suppose one could point to their 3.0 rushing average in the playoffs. Tempted to flip a coin for this one. I see Krungthep eating up the game clock by putting together 2-3 long drives, but will they end in turnovers or touchdowns? I am going with the latter, Garudas 20 Flames 17.
