Now that I have your attention - I'm looking to get my WR on a team for next season. He will be level 5 by the end of season 6. Building toward speed/return man.

Even if you don't have a spot for this guy who can/will boost 3 times at the end of this season and again next season - Please point me in the direction of an owner/team/gm that is looking.

Yes - the build is open
Yes - I will boost if an owner wants me to, but haven't yet
Yes - I do have custom equipment

I've been checking through the different posts, and it seems like the only threads that get hits/messages are for the higher level players. So my question is: Do any owners/gm's actively recruit lower level players, or are we just hoping to get lucky and not have to wait it out in the d-league? I've been searching a lot for this guy because his contract ends in the middle of next season with the d-league team and I don't want to get caught jobless. I've noticed very little activity in the middle of the season in terms of recruiting/signing.

You might get lucky and find a slow building team but more than likely, you will have to spend next season in the D-leagues. Really work on your build and you can probably find a team next offseason.

I'm only worried about what happens after day 22 next season when my guy ends up jobless and missing out on xp for games

Wait till expansion teams get released in the off season. No one wants 5-6 right now. When the 13 cap teams get created, you will get a team
