Well, I only missed two games last predictions, but I will point out that I thought that in the Piggers game that Justice League stood a chance of a big upset. I still just couldn't bring myself to bet against the Piggers. I also noted that in the Blitzkrieg game that it could have gone either way.

ALPHA CONFERENCE

ROTTERDAM RAMPAGE vs. BABYLONIAN BLITZKRIEG

--Rotterdam handled there opposition easily like I thought that they would. I picked against the Blitzkrieg last week and that proved to be a mistake. Rotterdam needs to watch out as the Blitzkrieg are coming into the game on a very high note having upset the Vipers last week. But, I think the Blitzkriegs run ends this week as Rotterdam is just too much for them to handle. Rotterdam hasn't lost a game since their Week 4 loss to Whiskey River.

ROTTERDAM WINS

WHISKEY RIVER WRANGLERS vs. NIZHNY NOVGOROD BULLDOGS

--Whiskey River easily handled the resurgent CHUDS last week in a game that was not close. The Bulldogs avoided an upset against the Minsk Fire team last week and beat the Fire by double digits. This is an intriguing game as both teams are pretty evenly matched. I've known the Bulldogs team longer than I have known the Wranglers team. Last week I didn't pick an upset and this week I will here.

BULLDOGS WIN

ZETA CONFERENCE

BARCELONA CHUPACABRAS vs. ATHENS GODS

--This will be the game of the week. Athens against Barcelona. In their previous matchup Barcelona picked up an OT win against Athens and barely held them off. This week will be a very intriguing matchup as Athens is officially in the underdog role this season. Barcelona pulled a huge win last week in their favored role as they finally got the 'one and done' playoff mentality out of their system. Athens easily handled Sopron on their way to this game. In this game I am a little biased to one team, but looking at the game and the history between these two teams I can't ignore that they always duke it out big time. But, at the same time I can't pick against the only undefeated team in the league.

BARCELONA WINS

JUSTICE LEAGUE vs. RIVER CITY RANSOM

--RCR easily handled Rammstein last week. However the Justice League upset a Zeta conference favorite by beaten the Piggers. Justice League is riding into this game on a very big high. These two teams are very evenly matched on paper. I smell upset.

I demand a re-evaluation! You were suppose to be quoting last prediction on how the Gods pull off the upsets and love being considered the underdogs. And that there was a 6 point GLB Overall rating spread between our teams when we lost by 3 points and that there is only a 3 point Overall spread now.

Hmm... I'm personally going w/ a prediction for the upset of the season:

GODS WIN

(By less than 7)

Still going with Athens here.

They have the advantage in play-calling against Barcelona, knowing what not to do wrong this time around.

Soooo Barcelona made ZERO changes during the whole year? Lol. What if...oh I don't know....Barcelona did something crazy and fixed their settings and scouted Athens and made changes to get better as well?

Because everything is compared to the top team(s), improved performance of the lower team is the only thing looked at. People forget that the top isn't a fixed spot.

I expect a tough fight Tuesday, in fact I think this might be the toughest game of the playoffs, now that the Piggers have gone the way of the BBQ pit.

Barcelona did what they needed to win that first game, so they are taking more of a risk by altering their gameplan. Barc knows more of what worked, less of what might not.

Athens already knows what not to do this time, and can afford to try new angles.

Just my opin.

We improved in our second game against Athens. We already knew they would shut our run down because it worked so well for them before. But.....we had the advantage of trying to run somewhere else on the field.

We also had the advantage of trying more passing instead, knowing what they were more likely to defend against with us.

Honestly, I could see it going either way. But picking against my own team won't happen.

GL Athens! All I can say if you do beat us you better make sure that you win it all...!!!

But, that being said I think Athens has a few areas that we can take advantage of.
