Well we lost 3 teams from memory last season and it seems we shall lose some more this season.

Does anyone know if we can only go up to AA 4 or is it random?

I went thru the AA, AAA and Pro league and as of now there are already 23 CPU teams. So it seems that on average 3 teams from each A league will go up.

Funny thing there was none in AA 4.

Will be interesting to see hwo ti goes. We may lose 3 or 4 teams to go up.

What do people think about this?

I believe that you only move upto AA4, so if there is no cpu teams there we may not lose as many teams as other leagues.

Teams always move up/down at the end of each season, regardless of the # of CPU teams. It is always 2 up, 4 down:

Last season also had a reorganization, which is supposed to occur again this season to drop down the gutted, slow build, and CPU teams.

FYI: If your team sucks, you can ask support to be demoted.

I was wondering about the reorganization as well. Has it been announced somewhere that they are going to do that again this offseason? I hope so, get as many of these good teams out of here as we can.

I would assume the promotion is on again this season, since Bort recently posted a new sort order for who moves up:

I've been so busy lately I almost forgot to update everyone on this, but with playoffs starting in a couple days, it's important!

After last season's promotion scheme didn't get us what we were looking for in some cases, we've updated the promotion sort order as for who to choose for promotion to fill vacated CPU team slots to make regular season victories more important.

The new sort order is:

1. Number of playoff victories
2. Number of playoff games participated in (this covers the first round losers over the non playoff teams)
3. Regular season wins
4. Regular season ties
5. Regular season points scored
6. Regular season points against (lower is better)
7. Postseason scrimmage wins (not friendlies)
8. Postseason scrimmage ties (not friendlies)
9. Avg playoff game points differential
10. Avg postseason scrimmage points differential
11. Avg playoff points scored
12. Avg postseason scrimmage points scored
13. Avg playoff points allowed (lower is better)
14. Avg postseason scrimmages points allowed (lower is better)
15. Random selection.

I think this new order fixes the screw up last season, where PGK should have moved up but the postseason scrimmage loss kept them here (I think that's right).

Here's the sort order from last season for those that are interested:

Postseason scrimmages shouldn't have been that high, or even on the list at all IMO.

Are the championship teams moving up and also the new format?? or just the new format with no regards to who won the championship??

From what I've seen, the 2 championship teams always move up, and the bottom 4 always move down. The other sorted promotions take place after that depending on the number of CPU and gutted teams in the leagues above.

I would hate to not be one of the conference champions and still move up, seems kind of lame to me.

Yes at least when you win and move up you have your win to keep you going if you struggle.

Would suck to go up with no chamionship to take with you.

yeah, that's what happened to me last season. Moved up to get my face smashed in all season but no trophy to keep me smiling.
