Hey guys, I figured we've never done this, so I wanna try it out. I want to have a league wide vote for MVP's for season 6. To keep things fair, I'm going to put up the 4-7 nominees for each award. I'll add them over the next day or so as I get time to look at games and stats.
People in Alpha vote for Alpha, Zeta for Zeta. No cross-conference voting. Voting is open to all... but I will limit the number of voted per team to 5.
I'll add the rest of the nominations before the first playoff game. Voting will end when the second round games are played.
Alpha Offensive MVP-
Jason Coker - QB - Transylvania Bloodsuckers - 136 QB Rating, 70.5 Comp. %, 6105.5 Yards, 71 TD's, 6 Int.
There is nothin to say but amazing about the numbers he puts up. Leads the conference in passing yards for the umpteenth time, and finished 2nd in TD passes. Continue to be the man the 'Suckers count on when it's crunch time.
Michael Goodman - QB - Dublin Drunken Monkeys - 132.2 QB Rating, 72.2 Comp. %, 4912.5 Yards, 74 TD's, 12 Int.
Normally a running team, the D-Monks surprised some with their passing game this season, and it was all due to the outstanding play by their QB Goodman. A revamped WR core helped him a ton, but he shouldered the load, leading the League in TD Passes.
Meko Fountain - QB - Kilkenny Cannibals - 127.9 QB Rating, 62.4 Comp. %, 5762 Yards, 66 TD's, 13 Int.
The Cannibals are the new big boys on the block, and their amazing passing game rests on the shoulders of Fountain. Vaulting up to a career high in QB Rating, Yards, and TD's, along with carrying the Cannibals to the #1 seed help him crawl his way into the MVP race.
Emil Melchior - HB - Transylvania Bloodsuckers - 432 Car. 3,908 Yd Rushing, 9 YPC, 82 TD.
The amazing numbers that Transylvania put up this year were due to a balanced attack, with Melchior leading the way on the ground. Although he was slowed a little down the stretch, his numbers are just too good to ignore.
'Lil Bush - HB - Oklahoma Outlaws - 424 Car. 3,694 Yd Rushing, 8.7 YPC, 52 TD.
The outlaws experienced an offensive explosion this season, and Bush was a main reason for that. He lead the way for the new outlaw rushing attack this season, and carried their hopes this season into the playoffs.
Hon. Mention - WR Jerry Curtis - Kil., WR Alex Adarian - Span., RB Anthony A-Train - Ith., RB Brad Theisen - Dub.
Alpha Defensive MVP-
Brian Paitaroo - DE - Dublin Drunken Monkeys - 145 Tkl, 85 Sacks, 61 Hur, 30 TFL, 6 FF
What can you say about the season that Paitaroo had... wow comes to mind. Lead the League in Sack's, 2nd in hurries, and tied for the league in Fumbles Forced, and led his conference in tackles. The numbers are amazing, as was his play this season.
Willie Morotna - CB - Kilkenny Cannibals - 49 Tackles, 16 INT., 10 Def TD's, 122 PD.
Moronta was the definition of shutdown this season. Averaging a pick a game, and over a touchdown every 2, paired with Rodgers-Cromartie, he was half of the most prolific CB tandem in the league. Throwing to his side was usually not a good idea.
Johnny (P)Assrusher Jergusen - DE - Transylvania Bloodsuckers - 112 Tkl, 45 Sacks 52 Hur. 37 TFL, 2 FF.
The Transylvania defense relied on it's pass rush this year, and Jurgensen led the way for them. Second on his team in tackles, but finishing second in conference in sacks and hurries. His play this season has helped Transylvania make it's way to another playoff appearance.
Lance Christopher - SS - Spaniard Warriors - 144 TKL, 3 INT, 16 PD, 2 Def TD's, 5 FF.
The Warriors this season needed a force on defense to help them with their push to the playoffs. Christopher gave them a shove. Second in the conference in tackles and fumbles forces, he was a bowling ball for the Spaniards, making plays all over the field.
Hon. Mention - CB Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie - Kil., DE Chase House - Span., DE Fabian Cruz - Kil.
