Rnd 1
Tripoli vs. Dakar - Tripoli Smash!!! These guys are hitting stride right at the playoffs started. Very Dangerous. Dakar worked around the bottom half of the playoffs all season and won their last game to lock it up.
Tripoli wins easy.
E'ci vs. Fortress - Oh man, Fortress took a two week vacation at the beginning of the season. Stumbled through some changes at the top and some rough and unexpected losses. However, these guys got fired up and are exploding at the end of the season.
Fortress wins a pretty tight one, but E'ci just isn't going to be able to score enough to win this one against the New and Improved Fortress Defense.
Khodu vs. Happy Hour: An interesting matchup. HH has been improving every week but the difference in talent and chemistry is too great and Khodu starts to open the gap in the second half and wins by a couple or three scores.
MaRAWK!!o vs. Ocho Cinco: This one is very similar to the Khodu/HH game. Next year this would be a game going down to the wire. This year, I think RAWK!!o makes too many plays and Ocho Seis's the Ocho Cinco's.
Note: There is going to be an upset. I hope it isn't us.
Round 2:
Tripoli vs. Iowa - Honestly, I think these are the two best teams in the league right now. I'm thinking the winner of this game is going to probably win the championship. Having said that....This is going to be a game of huge plays and I'm looking forward to watching it. I think Tripoli is going to win and I can't wait to see what stunts Tanner pulls to win this game late in the fourth quarter. I'm gonna guess he picks up a fumbled pass and returns in deep into Iowa territory and then they jam it in for the win. However, even with the turmoil, Iowa is second in the league in scoring defense, so don't expect a bunch of points.
Tripoli: 13-6
Khodu vs. MaRAWK!!!o. I'll go ahead and say that this is a rivalry for the ages and both teams wish the other the best of luck. Having said that.. Go fuck yourself Khodu!! This one also is going to come down to the last four minutes of the game. One team will get an advantage due to the weird timeout strategies in the game and will steal one!
Khodu: 31-28 on a late FG created by going for it late in the game (because that is how all of our games seem to end).
Championship Game:
Khodu vs. Tripoli.
I have several predictions for this game..
1. Khodu scores the first rushing TD against Tripoli.
2. The running score totally demoralizes Tripoli's defense and they fall behind early, then storm back and pull it out at the end (maybe on an interception return)
3. Tanner is almost no impact statistically, but Khodu's whole game plan is tilted towards stopping him and somebody else has a big day defensively.
There you go. Tripoli works through the first round and then squeaks out a couple of close ones to get the rings...Then MaRAWK!!o storms in, kicks them in the back of the head and steals their rings.
