Warrior General Games

For those who dont know there is a COLOSSAL rivalry between the Omaha Lightning and the Bakersfield Nananas that has been going on for the past few seasons. First two games played against each other were both won with last second 80 yard hail maries and ever since then the drama has only escalated. The Lightning lead the series 3-2 (including playoffs) and every game is great. Well its that time of year again, when two great franchises face off in an annual classic, The Doug Flutie Invitational. Winner takes the trophy home while the loser goes home with his tail between his legs.

I loved the first recap, hated the second one...

We tried so hard to get a prevent defense in for that, it just wasn't possible at the time.

I look forward to Rival game once again! It wouldn't surprise me if the game was won on the last play of the game. That is just what always seems to happen.

Since we are having the better year (record-wise), It is probably Bakersfield turn to win.

They were, I was happy we won, but felt bad the way it was done, but then I was PO'd when it happened right back to us. I remember using a bad word at least once!

I watched the first replay, but I couldn't watch the second one, too painful!

I took both plays to heart. The play Omaha won on was on my CB, Dr. Balls O'Houllihan. Bakersfield's winning play was made by my WR, Speed Henderson. I was at both ends of the spectrum. I went from saying a few FU's to Omaha to saying more FU's to Omaha followed up by a, "How do you like them apples?" It sucks that we won't meet in the playoffs, too. We have had a rough season with coordinators. Hopefully, we have learned our lessons and taken our lumps from this season and have some success next season.
