6 of the 8 playoff teams in the Naga conference play each other in this last regular season game.

Current #7 Medan faces off vs. the current #8 XomDon. The Xplosion must win to insure a playoff appearance. If Medan wins and Chengdu beats the Happy Endings, then Chengdu could take XomDons playoff spot due to Chengdu defeating XomDon earlier this season.

Current #5 Shanghai, coming off a tough loss to #1 Davao, will try to keep that 5th seed when they try to end the 4-game winning streak of the #6 seed, 69Mafia who withstood a very tough Medan team this morning.

Finally, the Pandang Warriors will take their #3 seed to the Igloo where they will play the #4 Northern Lights. Both teams are coming off of easy wins and are looking to make their statement as the clear cut #3 seed. Ujung will bring their top ranked rushing defense into Anchorage to try to slow down the 3-headed monster that is Anchorages running game.

All in all it should be an exciting final week to the regular season in Southeast Asia AA#3. The players and fans are beginning to sense that playoff vibe in the air already and will be receiving a playoff preview of sorts in the final regular season game. Good luck everyone!

Thanks. I was bored and noticed those matchups this morning. I think it's interesting how the season played out like that. Should make for some fun games.

Ujung Pandang versus Anchorage comparisons:

Offense
QB: Ujung Pandang
HB: No Advantage
FB: No Advantage
WR: Ujung Pandang
OL: Ujung Pandang

Defense
DL: Anchorage
LB: Ujung Pandang
CB: Ujung Pandang

FS: No Advantage

Game Breakdown:
These are two rushing teams. Anchorage with their platoon of HB's and
Ujung Pandang's two HB's are amidst the top ten in the conference in
yardage every season. The Warriors are known to turn the ball over when
they go into the air (82 TD's/17 INT's vs Anchorage's 32 TD's/8 INT's)
and this could be the focus point of the game.

Defense vs the Run:
Ujung Pandang: 56.2 yds per game allowed. 9 TD's allowed.
Anchorage: 69.4 yds per game allowed. 12 TD's allowed

Rushing Offense:
Ujung Pandang: 572 Rushes, 4775 yds, 8.3 per carry, 75 TD's
Anchorage: 803 Rushes, 5775 yds, 6.6 per carry, 65 TD's

Prediction
The Northern Lights are tough at home but the Warriors are on
a roll.

Ujung Pandang 35
Anchorage 28

lol - You gave us the edge on DL ??

What...was that a gimme so Anch appeared at least once in your 'matchups'? You are deeper and higher leveled at DL...I'd rather you just kept talking about how much better you are at everything then condescendingly toss a bone at us like that

I'd like to think that Anchorage has better FB's....just saying...not pointing out anything....just saying ya know.....it'll be a good game!!

Ohh, I gave you guys the edge there because my primary backup DE is only level 26,
yours is 30. We look a lil closer at DT.

I don't know if you really want to give me an edge because we keep a couple
extra DT's (who are level 26 and 27).

Cheers,
Sahoj

Thanks. Good luck in the playoffs Ujung.

That play is deadly, I'm almost expecting there to be enough of a "cry-out" about it that Bort will either tone it back or enable defenses, when planning, to stop it. The only way I've seen people can stop it, well I haven't!

I'm running more tests on how to stop it, when I figure it out I'll
make sure to let everyone know. It can only lead to more exciting
and competitive games.

The best gains I've found so far are players with strong
Super Vision and Change Direction SA's (5+). These players
react and cut after the WR well, seem more difficult to soak
into that initial block.

With a good FS you can pretty much keep the play to under
15 yards an attempt in a Medium Cover 2 Shell.

I'm fairly determined to kill the play without going into gimmick
coverages to stack that side of the field, meaning I intend to do
it in a Nickel formation.

Cheers,
Sahoj

GG Anchorage.

riiiight.....us holding you to 3 Field Goals through the first three quarters (and then going to Prevent D in the 4th) had nothing to do with it

Or the fact that we gained 250 rushing yards.....It must have been the WR Screen that won it for us entirely...

And yes, that WR Screen can be stopped cold. I've just never seen the Warriors run a D that can. So of course I put it in the playbook for this game....duuuuh

GG Warriors - Here's hoping you get to upset the Dog's in the Semi's!!!
