Amsterdam Red Lights vs. Barcelona Assassins
It's the game for all of the marbles in Alpha. The Red Lights started the season with all kinds of bravado on the forums but dropped a game to their in-town rivals in game #7, while the Assassins took the lead position rather quietly. Now Amsterdam has the opportunity to show the league that it is them, not Barcelona, that is the best team in the conference.
It's a real even matchup between good offenses and defenses from both teams. Both teams can do it all, so it will be a battle that hinges on the skills of their gameplanners and the builds of their players.
With a Barcelona win they would unofficially clinch the #1 seed in the Alpha playoffs. An Amsterdam win would place both teams at 13-1 into a three-way tie with the Magic Dragons. If that's the case, there no head-to-head matchup tie-breaker, so whichever team leads in overall points scored for the season come out ahead.
This game could go either way, and I don't have a strong feeling for either side to win. Both sides are confident. Amsterdam has scored more points so far this season, so I'll go with that.
