Was curious to see how much time owners/GM waste.. I mean spend scouting/game planning against competitive teams?

I'll start off by saying I spend no more than 30 minutes if that. I know I'm lazy.

Hahahaha.. I would say that I spend around 3 hours a week actually scouting and letting our OC/DC know common trends for teams we are playing and stuff like that. I spend about half of my work night (which is where I am now) on here just checking things out and reading threads though. Good thing I'm a supervisor or it would probably get ugly.. lol

Nice! I'm assuming grave shift? I work grave shift and have free time most nights. Trying to get away from roaming the web though and focus on learning. I find it hard though trying to study since it puts me to sleep haha. Instead I find myself on here..

Yup. Grave yard shift is the best. Well, I think it is anyways. I work Sunday night through Friday morning. 10:30 pm until 6:30 am. I don't blame you about being on here rather than studying. My fiance is in graduate school and is always asking me to help her study.

I like the shift, just the consequences from working the shift suck. Mainly having to do with sleeping or lack of. I like working 4x10 though..the 3 days off is nice.

Right now would be a good time to be studying but since it is almost 5am it is not like anything will sink in lol

Depends who we are playing. Some teams its like 2 mins when I am damn sure that we can totally dominate. Other teams like Winnipeg Wrath about an hour + then maybe another hour tweeking things in the D AI.

As time goes on though it gets faster, you get to know pretty quickly if there is anything that is going to need to be changed, you get to know exactly what needs to be changed, you also have built up an AI that would work perfectly well against any team and the subtle changes that you use against certain styles of play and have them available as a preset to load and tweek

my question is how many of ya'll WATCH the games?? My answer to everything is always just boost boost boost :?. It works you know ... unless of coarse your simply out-gunned.

Knowname.. That isn't entirely true.. Boost, boost, boost does work.. But we were out-gunned in our last game against Alert Sentinels and beat them 45-29. We have also lost to teams that I didn't think that we would lose to. You can call it bad game planning on our part for 1 game but the other games we got beat by teams we out gained in yards just not in the score.

I don't watch the games b/c that's about the time I have to get everything going at work. I do watch a replay of the games later in the morning hours though. Usually just touchdown plays, sacks, and turnovers to see what happened. I then compare the offensive player to the defensive player to see what the problem is/was. Usually it's just a higher level player beating out a lower level player. Someone that has a ton of speed opposed to someone that doesn't. At least on sacks that's how it works. lol.

We're outgunned most weeks and we win because of good scouting and gameplans.

I sometimes watch games, or atleast do what ArmyVet does and watch the key plays.

There is only so much entertainment in watching dots unless your team is rolling

I 'always' watch the replays from our games, but skip over the offensive plays we make, much i am sure to the displeasure of the O cus when I post the recap of the game its only ever about what we did on defense with the occational ' the O did well as well'

Watching the games though is not just about watching the dots, its about reading the text as well adn matching the two together, looking at why someone got a big touchdown, was it the AI that for some odd reason had all the corner blitzing or something silly like that or was it simply a bad match up of CB against the WR etc

By looking at the replays you can tell which offensive plays need to get remove too.
