How did we put up almost 1000 yards and 129 points against a team with higher levels?

dude, they didn't play defense...there were at least three passing TD where the receiver wasn't even covered???

Cos the Dogs are AWESOME!

I would say it's a combination of things....

1. Our defensive AI sucks... Can't seem to get it right.... That WR screen of yours ate our lunch.....
2. When you get ahead early it throws our offensive AI out the window, and then our offense sucks.
3. We can't seem to protect the QB - not sure why, b/c our O-Line is solid.
4. We have very little depth at most positions.
5. You have a very good AI - You have definitely mastered that part of the game.

Oh well - We're still trying to rebuild the team from when I got it last year after it was gutted. I kept 2 players and had 0 money. We've got a decent group of guys now, and the money situation is getting better, but it's hard to recruit b/c noone wants to play for the team that went 1-15 last year.

Anyone who has DC experience and wants to help out a fellow Africa AA#2 team and take a look at our defensive AI is welcome.

I actually don't think you are that far away from being a very competitive team. I think you are right on in your analysis. We exploited a few things and made the right plays at the right time early on, and then things started snowballing. We've had a few games where we've been on the unlucky side of the sim. It's part of the game. There's a fine line between being a non-playoff team and a contender, and you're right when you say depth and tactics are two key factors. Good luck with the rest of the season and in the future.

Not sure if this is an underneath zone, but two things here, one, you blitz a CB and leave the WR wide open, did this a bunch, bltizing the CB is fine, but you might want to go with a cover 1 or cover 0 so that the WR is covered and so is the TE. Also, man underneath is still better than zone

Just a couple examples, but once a few plays go against you moral gets crushed and then even the good defenses get rolled...csull is the defense guy on the Dogs, but feel free to PM me with any thoughts.
