The DTs have a SA called Shed Block that they like to take up to 10

SHED BLOCK: Allows the DT to get around blockers more easily, using a variety of swim, spin and rip moves. This skill is effective against all blockers, but it is most effective against pass blocking. Additional Levels: Increases chance to shed blocker.

My question is - how on earth to G's build to counteract this. I know you can boost agility, blocking and possibly speed on the basic attributes, and Pass Block SA (which is just an attribute % modifier I guess). But what other pass block tree SAs would counter this??? I can't imagine it is Absorb Pain, and Foundation SA for a G seems to counter Strong Base SA for a DT. So that leaves me with Strong Arm and Shock Block as options, but I cannot see how they would stop the DT's Special Ability.

Does anyone here have any insight as to how to stop Shed Block SA, apart from just boosting attributes?

The best I can tell you is that people touted Shock Block as a solution to stop speed DEs in the past, so perhaps it will also work on DTs now.

I still fully endorse a run-first mentality as the best method to wear down D Linemen. Get their fat men more tired than your fat men.

Thanks for the reply. I see that Shock Block 'works better against weaker players' so perhaps this is how to stop a very agile DT.

The team I am on doesn't run, unless the QB is being sacked when the DEs and the DTs swarm all over him. Generally, it is carnage. Good fun though.

A friend of mine loves Shock Block. After hearing about shock block I suggested it to him. he says he loves it. Another friend of mine loves foundation. I think those two s.a's would be great working together. or having one or the other being pretty high.
