I dont have time to do this but I thought that I would throw this out there guys...

Who would be willing to throw this together?
If we can get a format , and some things in place now we wont be scrambling to do this at the last minute...Im willing to help a bit, but cant committ to the whole thing!

I think Siena's LvL 37 LB Damean Sawyer is definitely one of the best, if not the best LB in the league. Because of him(mostly because of him), we stopped John Yassa and Panther Spencer and almost made them non-factors.

Each conference should only nominate players in their own league. (and not just on their teams)

I noticed it last season when I was tabulating the Zeta all-star team. Some owners/agents would nominate their players when they maybe shouldn't have even started for their own team. I got nominations for players in the other conference. Most likely owners/agents aren't privy to who's Pro Bowl caliber for the other conference since they only play game during the season versus anyone from it.

ya, sorry i just didn't have time to scout. I'm being awfully selfish on WE A ocho forums, only taking about siena. Please don't think I'm a jerk...

No, just some players nominate players they should very well know aren't top in the league or conference yet still nominated them last season. I have no problem when people think they have certain players that they feel deserve recognition. I know that certain players that have played against our team and played amazing, making a huge difference in their teams' success win or lose. I nominate those players as much as my own difference makers. Some players grab the attention of the GMs when they have to game plan.

To be honest, can't we just do it from top two stat leaders in each category? It's so subjective voting for players this way.

And with linebackers/safeties missed tackles should be taken into account in relation to how many tackles they make.

Its MUCH easier to do it that way, but the problem with that is it doesnt show true worth of some players.

If your on a top team its going to be so much easier to be higher in a lot of the offensive stats. But that doesnt mean someone else's reciever for instance hasnt been standout for his team, doing all he can to help them win against the odds.

But then unless you have someone with FAAAAAAAAAAR too much time on their hands its never going to be perfect.

Actually if you just send in the nominations to someone and just set up polls online so people can vote. I usually use this site to do it.

http://www.polldaddy.com/

Thats how I did our team awards last season and it made life so much easier for me.

you can set up and end date for the poll and make so people can only vote once per ip address, to try to keep people honest.

People have tried for the last 2 seasons to do this and nothing has came out of it. Good luck to you.

Sometimes players will rack up a lot of stats versus a couple of CPU teams or significantly lower level players.
