Well the second half of the season is underway and we still have some questions to be answered even if the league is a bit of a haves and have nots situation in terms of playoff bound teams versus the rest.

Top 2

1. Hollywood Knights(9-0)
Cruising right along after blowing through the pretend Knights who stole their monicker. They still have two soft targets before playing Chuck for what should decide the #1 overall seed.
Next Three: Sidewinders, Tigers, Chuck
Projected: 11-1

2. Chuck Norris(9-0)
Chuck is sitting pretty at 9-0 on the other hand their competition is about to rachet up in a big way. Gone are the have nots, and for all Chuck's wins only two have been against winning teams(Warsaw and Pamplona) granted though they were by big margins so I don't see them stumbling but still until its proven on the simulated field with a simulated game......anything can happen.
Next Three: Hague, Iberian, Hollywood
Projected: 12-0

Still very dangerous

3. Warsaw Wolves(7-2)
Snoozing a bit after having played some quality competitors early in the season riding through a five game stretch of next to no competition(yes we are a bit bored). We certainly have our eye on Hague and Hollywood though in a few games and look forward to playing some teams that'll put up a fight.
Next Three: Outlaws, Manglers, Pirates
Projected: 10-2

4. Hague Pirates(8-1)
Currently getting my vote as the league's most improved team after Chuck. Clearly they are now a threat that no one thought they would be and they have potential to go the distance. Hopefully they are at the top of their game right now though as they prepare to battle Chuck and try to pull off an upset. Still their secondary will be tested big time by Chuck.
Next Three: Chuck, Vienne, Warsaw
Projected: 9-3

A step back

5. Iberian Bocs(7-2)
Get to take 1 more week off before facing another round of good teams. Hopefully they have been using their time wisely as they are essentially games behind Hague, tied with the Wolves, and need to make up some ground to get homefield. They have played well so far but their second half schedule is certainly not forgiving.
Next Three: Tigers, Chuck, Vikings
Projected: 9-3

6. Milano Mamertini(6-3)
Might have sounded the death nail of the Manlets with their close win in last weeks 45-38 squeeker. Milano survived on the strength of Welcome to the Show who accounted for 5 of the Mamertinit's touchdowns including the game winner with just over two minutes left to play. Lefty Johnson used the short passing game to perfection and the Mammertini now appear as a dangerous team and a solid playoff lock.
Next Three: C-Knights, Sidewinders, Tigers
Projected: 9-3

The Best of the rest
7. Pamplona Bulls(5-4)
Who would have thought last season that the Bulls would ever put up 100 points on anyone. They did so to the Gladiators last game. Now they face the Manlets and this should tell us just how far these Bulls have come a win against the Manlets and its smooth sailing for the Bulls into the post-season.
Next Three: Manlets, Minotaurs, Outlaws
Projected: 8-4

In a world of hurt
8. Misc Manlets(3-6)
I can't believe that after nine weeks I have a 3-6 team listed #8, Milanese may regret selling the Vikings as even under CPU control who knows they may end as the #8 seed, given the hole and moral spiral the Manlets must be in.
Next Three: Bulls, C-Knights, Minotaurs
Projected: 5-7

9. Luxemborg Tigers(4-5)
They are an active team so they stay in the rankable category - for now. Still their upcoming schedule does not augur well as they meet the league's power houses. Still this team is probably a season or two away from being one of those powerhouses.
Next Three: Bocs, Hollywood, Mamertini
Projected: 4-8

Game of the Week: Chuck Norris versus Hague Pirates
Call it open season on the Hague who could cement a homefield game with an upset in this game. Their pourous secondary however will be challenged by Chuck. The Key will be if the Pirates can keep their offense off the field and Chuck's off. I don't see that happening.
Chuck 76 Hague 21

Must See TV: Pamplona Bulls vs. Misc Manlets
The Manlets are in extreme dire straights and if they lose this one have the potential for finishing below .500 for the season. Unbelievable. I think the Bulls take advantage of this reeling once Giant and get it done, in a squeeker.
Bulls 34 Manlets 31

Quite a margin you have set there for the Chuck vs. Pirates. It'll be interesting to see how this game turns out.

It's not that far fetched. Chuck outlevels Hollywood, and Hollywood managed to score 50+ points on the Pirates.

Although I do think it'll be closer than that personally from what we learned of that game against Hollywood.

Well the last inactives have checked that the Viks are no more. So their "powers" are down now. But they won the CPU-battle...hehe.

Great writeup and nice to read
